I saw this Echo 4 Gallon Back Pack Sprayer on sale for $64.98. It was previously sold for $99.63 and it's on the Deal of the Day. Limit is 5 per person.

Thank you for sharing, OP. Please add the final price in the title of your post, also a good idea to mention the store.

"Echo 4 Gallon Back Pack Sprayer $64.98 @ Home Depot" would be a good update for the title.

Has anyone used both this and the Harbor Freight backpack sprayer ($19.99 w/ coupon) to compare?

I've used the HF sprayer a bunch, it works well but I keep breaking the plastic ends on the straps and they leak out of the top when full

Thanks OP - I wound up buying one as I am tired of the cheaper ones breaking all the time. This will hopefully last better than most.

They don't last, after the second use like someone said the ends break.

The seals leak.

With the chemicals on yours back and body, I din't expect that kind of leakage from 70 or 100$ product.

I bought one of these two years ago and it broke a couple days ago. The pump gets jammed. Strange that the problem occurred with no warning. Dismantling it and reinserting the plunger helped for a day and now it happened again. I would expect better quality from Echo.

Do yourself a favor and get a battery powered sprayer. It's a game changer if you spray a lot.

I concur and also read lawnforums for sprayer wands. I have an acre that is built out and I spray myself every 2-3 months and it takes me two 4 gallon sprays to cover all surfaces. The custom wand with the ryobi backpack sprayer makes spraying actually fun lol. I will never go back to manual sprayers and plastic wands ever again. Teejet nozzles are the best also.

Yup broke second use. Leaks out of handle pump and all over your back.

I use sprayers commercially for pesticides and pressure washing.

I have a echo conventional container sprayer. The spray wand is the same as the backpack sprayer. No one beats the ease of cleaning of the spray wand like echo. You can take out the plastic screen and backflush it in a jiffy. I have to confess I am a bit of an echo fan boy. If I didn't have the backpack sprayers I got at closeout I would buy this one. The big advantage is you can use powders with the echo sprayers. Some powders mixed in the water will eat up the pump mechanism. I must confess I like echo stuff. I have 3 power pruners, 4 chainsaws, one 40 year old weed eater (just installed a new clutch and trigger mechanism) and one hedger. Hope this helps.

Do not get the one from HF...I could not get it to work well even once.
Like others have said, it leaks all over your back while you are pumping. Even being brand new, with all of the seals in place, did not prevent this.
The fan tip nozzle has no filtering mesh to prevent any impurities from clogging the hole...making the fan spray only half useful.

As per the cashier, you cannot return this to store; you call a phone number and they just refund you the $ and you dont send it back. The funny part is, the cashier conceded that I likely will call the number, and highlighted it like 5x on my receipt o_O;;

I am stuck with using my usual 2 gallon pump sprayer, and just deal with the weight.
