Bought one, but will this work in a standard hammer drill, consumer grade? It looks like it only fits a special type, but I'm not very familiar with the products in this area.

You need a rotary drill to use this one, it won't fit for regular hammer drill

Only works for demo hammer drills that accept sds plus (there is also sds max). It doesn't have a standard hex shaft like you would see for a normal drill that has a hammer function. I picked up the demo hammer from harbor freight for like $80 when I was removing bathroom tile and it has worked great.

    Just drill 1 & 1/3 holes and you'll be fine. 🤣

assuming you mean the type of hammer drill with the chuck with 3 jaws, it'll work as long as the diameter of that drill is large enough. you have to align the bit with those jaws. like others say it's not designed for that, but it can work if you really want to buy it.

Picked up a Hilti hammer drill at an auction. Assuming that this will work in it?
