From RTINGS: The Sony X750H is a budget 4k TV that performs reasonably well for most uses. The X750 has a VA panel this time around to provide a significantly better dark room viewing experience. Response time is decent and it has low input lag; however, it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing when gaming. Unfortunately, its narrow viewing angles make it less ideal for wide seating arrangements, and there are some screen uniformity issues that can be rather distracting. It gets reasonably bright to fight glare in well-lit environments, but not bright enough to make highlights pop in HDR content. On the upside, its Android TV platform has plenty of apps available, which is great for those who get their content through streaming services.

Compared to the Samsung ru8000 that went on sale at the end of September, which one is better for viewing or gaming?

Bj wholesale at 670 with 5 years warranty.

At slicksales, u need 2.1 to handle bandwidth higher than 1080p resolution. 2.0 will do 120 at 1080p

Get a tv with 120Hz native refresh rate. No need for HDMI 2.1.
Without hdmi 2.1 it cant do 4k 120hz for gaming

I've been doing a ton of research on my next TV purchase. If your willing to spend almost $700 just do yourself a favor, budget for a little more and get the more expensive Sony x900h or x950h..you won't regret it. The x900h 65 inch is currently hovering in the ~$900 price range and the x950h is hovering in the (I think) ~$1400 price range. the differences between both are pretty small, the average person wouldn't see a difference between 900h vs 950h.

There are also other tv brands that can perform better then the OP model, at the $600-$700 price range. We are talking the vizios, tcls, hisense..

I ordered the X900H/X90CH from Costco, and I'm ready to test it out this week. Also having that 90 day return window is great if I decide to send the TV back. The X900H/X90CH comes with a 5 year warranty at Costco.

I saw that deal. Its pretty solid if you are in the market for a TV today. Im sure prices will hit even lower soon maybe black Friday or once the 2021models are released next year (assuming they still have 2020 models in stock)

If useful, I bought this tv from Costco and I thought it was nice compared to my old 2017 Samsung. It was giving me some problems with one of the HDMI ports, so I went to return it and noticed that they had the next tier (x900h) on sale for a bit more than $900. I decided to put some extra money and get that one, it is night and day difference, superior image quality, more features and even a nicer design. I recommend the x900h
