I got 50k miles on my Goodyear eagle sport, now Goodyear is ok everything.

I'd go for the defender LTX.
Ltx is definitely the model to go with but I think the defender uses a harder compound that lasts longer. Supposedly it's a little louder than the premier ltx. I can't speak to the premier LTX but I have no complaints from the defender ltx (so far 35k on this set and zero complaints).

Do a google search for michelin ltx and you will see many people raving about them and running the tires to 80-100k without issues. My cousin had the ltx on his ridge line and went 120k with them. Within the last couple years, Michelin offered the ltx in the premier (softer) and defender series.

I have a 2011 pilot and my first set of LTX's took me to 81k. I had like 30% tread left but I went ahead and replaced them with the defender LTX which is supposed to be as rugged and long lasting as the original LTX.

Tirerack says it has road hazard included. I don't know how this works, but they seem like a trustworthy company and most likely scenario is that I'll just put a plug in a leaky tire and not even bother with the warranty, unless the tire is unsalvageable.

And I actually prefer to rotate my own tires because it's faster and easy. It takes like 15 minutes for me to do it myself. Not even enough time for me to drive to Costco.

They would probably hit your strut and even if it didn't, the tire would rub the fender when turning. It's almost 2" taller.

I did 235/60/18 on my wifes escape. Stock was 235/50/18. Theyre almost 2 inches taller and barely fit. However the truck rides way better, especially over rough roads. They'll also last longer because of the increase circumference. As mentioned by other user its like 5 mph off at 70 though.

I just got an email from Discount Tire about a $100 off flash promotion tomorrow and Wednesday. These tires are included. Seeing as Discount price matches, this seems like an even better deal.

Yup it'll be slightly off, IIRC 60 would be ~62. Look up tire size calculator

I guess this also means that my odo would be off similarly too. If these lasted 60k odo would say ~58k

This is a great price! Purchased these tires from Costco 2 years ago and they were a lot more. Tire rack is offering $80 prepaid card rebate. Just received mine from buying 4 Michelin X-ice tires.

You get what you pay for with these. Came stock on my Jeep, and replacing them now after 30k miles. ymmv literally. Only tire on any car Ive owned go less than 50k
