What good is a store-wide discount if there's so little product available to use it on compared to earlier in the year? I'm not talking about discount exclusions, but lack of product, size, or color.

Disclaimer: I buy running attire and some athleisure.

Earlier this year, ie January through May, there were lots of running shoes, tops, and bottoms (whether shorts or tights, long or short-sleeve), both on adidas.com and the adidas eBay store. I know about availability then because during that time I restocked on shoes and shorts. Since the summer, styles/colors and sizes of shoes and clothes have dried up or the model is no longer available (regardless of color or size).

eg Solarboost 19 shoes originally in 6 colors, now down to 3 colors with one color only available in sizes 7 & 8. Run-It or Own the Run shorts are overwhelmingly only available in XS or XL in one length except for the two newer Own the Run two-tone colors which are available in multiple sizes but only in one length. Ignore shorts because they're out of season (according to fashion, not weather)? Long sleeve running shirts: Own the Run is out of stock and Runner is available in only in three colors, but only royal blue in more than two sizes. I don't buy Ultraboost 20 (they don't fit my feet), but I've noticed its available colors/styles have decreased except for a small increase in recently added niche/specialty colors.

Similarly, the adidas eBay store has had some sales in the last few months, but it's diminishing selection of running apparel ran out a month or two ago, apparently along with everything else (because there use to be many pages of men's clothing and shoes, but now there's only one or two).

Is this seasonal/yearly, eg New Year exercise resolutions drive the market and as people's resolution wanes, so does their associated purchasing, and the market responds by cutting back on apparel availability?

Is this due to COVID, eg supply line and/or manufacturing shortages?

A rumored 50% Black Friday store-wide coupon/sale is useless because, unless they reverse this month-over-month trend of diminishing stock, they'll have nothing to sell.

I faced the exactly same issue - tried to use the bonus GC from Newegg along with the actual GC (to pay the balance) and got payment failed multiple times across browsers despite having valid balance on each card. Changed one of the item color which was low in stock to something fully available but that didn't help either. Finally I left the bonus GC as payment option but paid the rest via credit card and it worked in the first attempt. It seems the payment processing engine has a bug which can't process two gift cards at once, but do accept combination of GC+Card. Something not expected from a retailer like this.

You have to create a new account. I had the same issue and this solves it.

No go for me. Keep getting "This gift card is not active or has expired" trying to use the remaining balance on my Newegg bonus card that expires 10/31. Chatted with customer no service twice and neither had clue. Told me to try different browsers and computers which doesn't help. Finally they could only tell me to try later. So far no go. May have to end up calling in to place order. What a pain. Never go for Adidas gc deals. After all, they sell their crap on flea bay for much less anyway...

Update - tried to place order on the phone, but all they could do is add the item to my cart and send me a link. I still had to complete order on adidas.com, which of course rejects the gc anyway. So I chatted again, this time they said that the promotional gc can't be used on sales item or with coupon. Then I asked them to find me an item that it would work on. Took them so long to get back to me that the stupid chat just times out and closes itself. Yes, their chat times out! Simply the worst customer no service and shopping experience. Reporting them to BBB.

God damn it. I have the PayPal. I have not tried to use it. As far as I know there's no expiration for GC from paypal? Am I wrong?

Correct, only those promotional gc from Newegg have exp. dates. So you should be OK. The reps I chatted with seemed to think that their site is glitching today. I was able to use a part of it a couple of months ago, so luckily don't have much to lose. But no more Adidas promo gcs for me...

Adidas is an obvious ad-sponsor for Slickdeals - just do a search for "adidas" and you'll see tons of "deals" with lots of thumbs up.

At least Slickdeals is finally being more honest with their shill posts by noting this on the Frontpage "Featured Deals - Advertiser Disclosure" (Other advertisers include Chewy, Verizon, Chase, Dell, etc.)

I just bought the new Newegg Gift card deal 2x $50 adidas cards with 2x $10 bonus cards that expire in January 21. Applied the $10 promotional cards first in Google Chrome on a PC then the $50 cards.

No problems came up order was confirmed.

You can also buy something for the amount then return it to get it on a single Adidas Gift Card you get the promo credit on it with the gift card issued by adidas themselves that does not expire. I done it a few months ago.

Got the Standard 3 stripe pant which always used to be $30. With sale they were 22 but the logo is just ironed on, not embroidered. Cheap look and feel. This "sale" simply reflects the decline in quality of adidas , imo
