I personally have been using a single USB C cable for power delivery and video on my work from home setup that I cant imagine going back to HDMI cables and power bricks unnecessarily.

I can barely read the font on a 32" 4K monitor without any scaling. With scaling you unfortunately lose screen real estate.
Imho if you want to take full advantage of 4K resolution (native ,no scaling) then go for 40" size.

But still, with 125% scaling you are getting 3072x1728 on this monitor which is not bad at all. And the text will be more readable. However, I personally hate scaling. Too many subtle issues with scaling.

How is LG quality? They only have 1 year warranty instead of 3 like others. Thank you.

I know there was pun intended but the desk setup is so much more different when you use it, one power cable to monitor is all you need.

Yes it is currently the top rated 32" 4K monitor at rtings and a great price for it but read the 6 month reviews at Amazon, 36 percent 1star reviews due to corner discoloration and other quality control issues. I love LG and have a 27" 4k with no problems but I'd stay away from this one.

Nice. Thanks for for the feedback. Yeah, we aren't getting high refresh rate or low response time in a 4K 32" without forking over a whole lot more $$$. Enjoy!
I dont think one even exists at this point. Though a 27", 43", 55" and a 65" high refresh 4k monitors are available. 32" has largely been left out of the loop. Hopefully demand will rise with the rtx 3080/3090 encouraging monitor makers to develop more high hz 4ks.

The reviews are pretty concerning for this monitor... many many reviews stating the monitor has corner burn in after a year of ownership or so. Pretty concerning. Anyone know a good alternative? I wonder how the 32UN880-B at costco compares?

The important info

5ms
60hz
Manufacturer specified response time is not an important spec. In any case, you'd be better suited reading the full rtings review: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...g/32ud99-w

If you dont care about USB-C, you can get the 32UN650 with the same panel specs for $450 at micro center and amazon.
Is it the same panel? This one is listed as brighter than the 650. I have the 650 now, and its bright enough for my needs, but brighter could be better. The bezels look a bit thinner on the bottom as well.

Yes that alone would be worth paying the $150. But could it power something that has a 130w brick like a Dell XPS 15 9500? Gah I've already have the 650, but using a single USB C cable for image AND power would be VERY cool.

I commented on my work from home setup to help others who didn't know you can rock out with a single cable. People with heavy duty laptops and desktops probably won't benefit much from this feature.
