Don't worry about a warranty on these. It doesn't cover anything anyways! The plastic socket that does the swizzle on these broke after several months of use. I literally took them off one day and they fell apart. The warranty center claimed I was too rough on them and didn't help me out. I babied these headphones as they were the most expensive I ever owned.

TLDR: Don't get these because they are made to break and the warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear.

You can get the newer model for $50 more on Amazon and they'll give you a $25 gift card. Definitely not worth the money, I saw these at Target for $199.

There were some $180 at Target as well, but that deal is long dead, not relevant anymore.

Must have been another Sony Headphone model or possibly a refurbished one.

you can actually pick (if you time it) used in very good condition (like store return) on ebay for $150 + pay $20 for 1 year SquareTrade protection. much better deal than buying a brand new one.

Square Trade, will protect form: drops, spills and any accidents, parts and labor too.

it wasn't one per state but you have to be early in the game for ymmv... posted that link where so many posters got it for $105 at target.. people who don't get ymmv deal dismissive about it (including myself)

ymmv is not so much as "early in the game" thing, it's more of a "location and the type of item" thing. some items just don't sell as quick or at all in some locations vs other locations. just because you see a ymmv posted here you assume that the item is available everywhere, the reality is actually quite opposite . . . items are scarce and may show zero in the inventory, inventory usually is incorrect, store employees usually take advantage of the deals when they learn about them, stores use the ymmv as a tactic to drive more customers. most items that show up in the inventory from target in my area is garbage, inventory may show 3 items available for days but when you confront the store management they have no clue and yet would not fix the inaccuracy in the system for sometimes weeks.

i know "you can t win if you don't play", but my point is not about that . . . my point is that you also need to know the "odds of winning"
