iPhone 7 32GB Verizon Prepaid @ Target for $99 (As low as $59 YMMV)

Just as the title says.

A brand new Verizon Prepaid Silver iPhone 7 32GB for $99 in most stores. It's Priced at $59 in some stores. This is of course a YMMV situation.

No hoops or service plans to navigate. Straight up with no chasers.

Unlocks at the 60 day mark, after the date of activation with Verizon's own prepaid service.

Generally the prepaid iPhones are kept locked away with all the other apple products in the back or locked with contract phones. They are NOT just hanging out with the el cheapos.

Price reflected online isn't the same as the in-store price.

Check the brickseek link for a more narrow estimate of stock levels in your area.

Happy Hunting!

After how many months of use Verizon will unlock this iphone? Do I have to call them to unlock it?
The package says 60 days but it's not entirely clear whether the phone is actually locked.

So I went to my local Target with limited stock according to brickseek and they had one and when they tried to scan it no price would show up so they said that they had to go with the $169 online price which obviously I didn't bite. Any ideas?

That means they need to send it back. If you look at brick seek and the price shows NA that's what it means. Happened to me on a 6s deal. Target had the stock but no price was showing up when scanned. A few days earlier there was a price so I missed it. Not much you can do.

I see now it makes sense since they said that systematically the item did not exist so all they could do was to go with the online price. Thanks.

I will buy on the online price and then go to that store for which the price is still showing in brick seek and then return and rebuy from that store , tip- buy first from other credit card and then rebuy it again on target red card , tell them you forgot to use your red card

I can confirm currently its locked to Verizon. Do we have to call Verizon to unlock it after 2 months of service plan or it gets unlocked by itself?

Supposedly will auto-unlock 60 days after Verizon activation. No one has had this deal for 60 days yet; so no verification possible. I have seen postings on other Verizon prepaid that it did auto unlock. You may have to put a "foreign" sim in the phone and see if you get the message about "cannot be activated", meaning still locked.

Are they locked to verizon in general or specifically to verizon pre-paid?

I put my post-paid account sim card in and it was able to make and receive calls as well as data. That being said, I only tried it for a few minutes.

Good luck with that, looks like they are zero out inventory as I have checked several places now in different areas too.

I am using it on Verizon Tracfone MNVO with Tracfone labeled SIM. Activation was difficult. It has been working about 3 weeks now.

Its locked to the carrier (verizon), doesn't matter sim is post-paid or pre-paid, and also not sure if it will be auto unlocked after 60 days of using verizon prepaid sim card.

This is Verizon's official policy per their website.

Prepaid Device Unlocking Policy

Devices that you purchase from Verizon and certain devices purchased from our retail partners are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock. Following the 60 day lock period following device purchase, we do not lock our phones at any time.

If you purchase a 4G Phone-in-a-Box from our retail partners, you should review the back of the box to determine the lock period applicable to that device.
