iPhone 7 32GB Verizon Prepaid @ Target for $99 (As low as $59 YMMV)

Just as the title says.

A brand new Verizon Prepaid Silver iPhone 7 32GB for $99 in most stores. It's Priced at $59 in some stores. This is of course a YMMV situation.

No hoops or service plans to navigate. Straight up with no chasers.

Unlocks at the 60 day mark, after the date of activation with Verizon's own prepaid service.

Generally the prepaid iPhones are kept locked away with all the other apple products in the back or locked with contract phones. They are NOT just hanging out with the el cheapos.

Price reflected online isn't the same as the in-store price.

Check the brickseek link for a more narrow estimate of stock levels in your area.

Happy Hunting!

Can you expand on the bolded? My kids' current 6s' updated to 14 without any problems, but have been through previous updates. Is there a reaon to think these will not be able to make the jump from current installed iOS 10/11 to 14?
Only if there's not enough storage capacity after avoiding iOS update which is do-able. My iPhone SE 2016 is still on iOS 11 and still upgradable to iOS 14. I just don't see the need to do so when it is practically my iPod

It's $30 for a month of service prepaid and that's all you need. Don't even have to pay second month. After 60 days it's unlocked. That's what happened with 6s deal with previous target deal. Also if you buy two of these phones you can use one sim to unlock two phones just buy buying one month service.
May I ask for more details on how to unlock two prepaid iPhones with one activated SIM on Verizon? It would be awesome just to pay $30 of service and unlock them both.

So just checked my local Target and was told they no longer carry any prepaid iPhones. With that in mind I called the one 12mi away that I posted up thread and was told they have only 1 in stock and is coming up $99. Still not a horrible deal but not nearly as slick.

Anyone remember the MetroPCS iPhone deal where you got 4 iPhones for $100 then you traded them in to Apple for like $200/ea (so netting +$700)? I did that and then turned around and bought 2x new XRs for my kids for Christmas. I think I traded in 12 iPhones, so I ended up making $500 to pay for the rest of Christmas stuff.

That was a good deal and crazy arbitrage.

yea, I remember those days.
I only managed to get 4 at boost.
Traded them in for $800
after that, they noticed what people were doing and made it more complicated to get prepaid service. I believe now they require id
Maybe it's nostalgia but my all time favorite trade-in offer was this.

I'm in for one! I had to drive 1.5 hours away but it'll be worth it for my son next month for his birthday.

Came to $60.98 with tax and my RedCard discount.

I'm trying to figure out if this can work for me. I currently have an iphone 6. This phone would be a decent upgrade. I currently have a verizon wireless subscription.

Can I just take my sim card out of my iphone 6 and put it in this one? Or do I need to pay the $30 monthly charge, drop the service after 30 days, then wait another 30 to request an unlock before using my sim?

Thanks!

iPhone 7 is a 4 years old phone to date as it has that outdated body from 2014. The battery life is not great. Camera is alright. iOS10, 2GB of RAM and 32GB is the old 16GB of storage as far as software is concern. iOS 10/11 to iOS14 requires more than 3GB of update. 25GB ish out of the box is more like it.

It the first model to omit the headphone jack and physical home button for the extra stereo speaker and haptic feedback respectively. Screen is not full and it an LCD. I don't see a reason to get this on a cheap, not even for iPod purposes other than trade in for more credit or $$$.

Heck you couldn't claim a $25 check settlement for the iPhone battery fiasco anymore (deadline was 10/3/2020)
Yea, totally not worth it. We should al listen to you, right? tfoh

There is no no entry level hardware POS lg or motorola that you can at this price point. I use an iphone xr as my main phone but for work i switch to a 6s ( don't want to get covid all over the XR) and I see zero difference between them.

Would there be any worthy trade in deals after 60 days though?

Seems like you'd be buying this phone and waiting a year before the good trade in deals happen, and you foot the price of Verizon's prepaid for two months.
