How does this compare to the 70" Samsung at Bestbuy for $529?

FYI the 50", 60" and 70" versions of this television have VA panels instead of IPS. I actually ordered this tv but ended up canceling as a result. That may not matter to some who aren't looking for the wider viewing angles an IPS panel provides, but I just couldn't rationalize getting a 70" television with a VA panel. But it is, admittedly, a great deal!

Any idea if in my area (11554) if this can work in-store? I don't have the option to add to cart to pick up in store so just says locally available. Not sure if I just say " Add Target Circle offer " to cashier and she'll go "what sir?"

However, that rating is for the 55" which has an IPS panel and the 70" has a VA panel. The two are not comparable. I love rtings.com and utilize them religiously, but unfortunately they don't have unlimited resources and aren't able to test all panel types of the same model television. Therefore, when they list all sizes of a model on the same page, it can give less detailed readers the impression that the tv's will perform similar when they will not.

Can also use the 5% Chase Freedom cashback category if paying with Paypal as an alternative to RedCard.

I have this TV and the black is horrible. Any dark scene seems to have a grey smoke fog layered on top of the scene. However, the bight colors look great and impress me often. I am still playing around with the settings in an effort to resolve the dark/black issues but have been unsuccessful thus far. Also, sometimes the sound seems to be slightly delayed from the picture. This may be due to the ARC HDMI ran through my Sony receiver?

Anyone familiar with any solutions for either of the above?

They usually have a 'differences' table but I hadn't seen that listed. Odd. Have you found any reviews of the VA panel here? (I do see one comment from an LG rep on best buy that this 70" is VA, but that's it).

Also, LG shits all over VA, that's funny that they'd sell mixed panel types in the same line of tv's.

EDIT: nevermind, rtings does mention those differences. Better contrast, worse angle, sounds about right. I have people sitting up to 45 degree angle so worse angle is pretty bad.

So i have an older (2013) 65" Samsung 8000 series that at the time had all the bells and whistles. BUT it doesn't support 4K so i'm looking to upgrade and move up a size. Reviews are all over the place for most all TV's, but i'm thinking almost ANY 4k panel would be an upgrade, including the low end tv's, right? Should I try and snag one of these cheap ones or should I go with some of the more higher end models?

Good price so Rep'ed. Comes with regular remote. Magic remote sold separately. I'm looking for a 70" Android TV with great picture quality from a non-China brand. Sharp Aquos TVs are actually Hisense, and JVC TV's are actually Shenzen MTC LTD. Thanks anyways!
