I was looking for a cheap unlocked Android phone and came across these deals from Best Buy for the newest line of Moto G phones. Apparently these are "guaranteed Black Friday prices". These are also the cheapest I've seen these phones by about $20-$50 a piece.

Moto G Fast (32GB): $149.99
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/moto...Id=6411990 Expired

Moto G Power (64GB): $199.99
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/moto...Id=6398516 Expired

Motorola One Action (128GB): $199.99
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/motorola-moto-one-action-with-128gb-memory-cell-phone-unlocked-white/6375617.p?skuId=6375617 [bestbuy.com]

Moto G Stylus(128GB): $239.99
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/moto...Id=6398515 Expired

All listed prices are for "activate later" (unlocked) models. This allows you to throw your SIM Card in and be good to go. If you need service as well, the prices are even less with new activation ($100 for Moto G Fast, $150 for Moto G Power & $190 for Moto G Stylus)

Available for in store pickup or free next day shipping as stock permits.

Damnit, knew I should've bought the G Power at $199.

Kiddo going from a 2GB ram android phone to 4GB seems a lot more worth it than 2-3GB.

Odds are these will go on sale SOMEWHERE before Christmas right?

How do I qualify for the $100 discount?
You can qualify as either a new or existing Google Fi customer.
To qualify for the discount, you need to :
Activate the Moto G Power on the same account used to purchase the phone. This can be done by the purchaser or a member on their group plan.
Activate the phone on a full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and remain active for 60 consecutive days.
If a group plan member activates the device, they are not eligible to switch accounts until all conditions are met.
The discounted price will automatically apply during checkout. If you do not meet the conditions above, the discounted amount will be charged to your Google Pay account to match the full price of the phone.
Dang, they raised it to 60 days recently. I just bought it as a spare in Aug for this same price and it was 30 days. I was hoping to do the same many did for the G7 and activate for a day and then switch back.

Is there value in going with this vs grabbing the one at Target for consumer cellular and just unlocking it?

Thanks OP.

I think you might want to add "Motorola one Action [bestbuy.com]" for $199 also? Smilie
It is cheaper than Official Moto site:

Motorola 3 day sale [motorola.com] https://www.motorola.com/us/specials

Thanks! Always good to have options. To satisfy my curiosity: what're the merits of using Best Buy vs Amazon for those of us who have the option?

There's a promo as well for $100 rebate if you purchase a sim and airtime. Comes to about $190 for me minus the rebate to $90

It's a year older but is the Motorola One Action a better buy over the G Power with the additional storage and NFC?
