Dragon Quest Builders 2 - Nintendo Switch (YMMV) $15.99

Stopped by Best Buy this afternoon and found Dragon Quest Builders 2 for the Switch for $15.99. I checked their pricing on their website and the in-store price did not reflect the online pricing. May be worth a stop into the local store or a call if you are interested in the game. Also, sorry for the sideways picture. I can't get it to sit correctly for some reason.

I had a similar situation with another game... Onimusha on PS4 is on clearance online at $18... I went in store to get it and the price in store was actually at $8.49 on clearance.

I had to do a little bit of a double-take because I thought the game was just chilling in the wrong spot haha.

Quite true. The Switch version struggles, to say the least.

I stumbled into this earlier when at the store, 30.99 on clearance on the tag, 44.99 on the website and it rang up 21.99. No complaints =)

Not as big of a discount, but my local Best Buy also has Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for the Switch for $39.99 (while it is full price in its online store and at most other places as well).

Tried going to two different Best Buys that claimed they had stock. Neither of them had them in the Gaming aisle or discount section. There was a wall of Switch games behind the checkout counter but the employee had zero interest in checking if it was back there. Why even move all of your games behind the counter if your employees don't want to take the time to rummage through them?

I can assure you it was not that employees decision and they had zero say in the matter haha

No, I agree. What I'm getting at is why did management or corporate decide that stacking their entire selection of games behind the counter would be more beneficial to customers than putting them on the shelves? Because the actual Switch aisle was almost empty while that rack behind the counter was completely full yet too far away to read the spines from the other side of the counter.

Might be because some people were able to figure out how to get the games out of their security cases. It has happened in the pass and best buy would change the plastic case holders. When it happens again, it would seem Best Buy would start to hold the games behind the counter. It doesn't make sense for an employee to not be willing to find one for you though. Just cause it's not in the shelf doesn't mean it's not in stock. Stock is mostly shown on their system and they know if it's in the back or already in the cage.

I found it at my local best buy for $24.99. Still a good deal compared to the $44.99 listed on their website.
