For those thinking about the A3300, it's a fantastic price at $350. Typically it is $499 at full price. Both the Ascent A2500 and the Ascent A3300 models are $499 at full price. The A2500 only has the count up timer (not a programmable timer) that shows you the time lapse during blending, and it has knobs and levers. The A2500 also has three built-in presets. There is also an Ascent A2300 model (base Ascent model), which is the same as the A2500 minus the built-in presets that is $450 at full price. The A3300 is all digital with a programmable timer. The A3300's programmable timer counts up to show blending time lapse, but can also be set to stop after X amount of seconds or minutes. The A3300 is all digital and some consider that easier to clean because the panel is flat with no knobs or levers. The A3300 does not have built in presets. However, ALL Ascent (and the Costco Venturist model) can connect to the Vitamix Perfect Blend App and access many presets. They connect via bluetooth, the app recognizes what container size is on the blender, and you can pick any of the many presets and just press start on your actual blender. So even though the A3300 doesn't have built in presets, you can access presets via the app. The priciest model, the A3500, is all digital and the same as the A3300 except that it has five built-in presets and comes in metal housing finishes that supposedly make the unit quieter when blending (see lifeisnoyoke videos and reviews that discuss this). The only colors that are non metallic for the priciest A3500 are candy apple red and white, which are plastic finish and supposedly not as quiet as the metal housed bases. The A3300 on sale at Amazon right now in Black Diamond is supposedly the non metal housing finish. The A3300's only metal housed base is the brushed stainless steel. Regardless, the A3300 Amazon sale price for Black Diamond is an excellent deal. Only the Ascent (and Costco Venturist) blenders are compatible with the new food processor attachment and the smart detect 20 oz jar and 8 oz bowls. So if you care about compatibility with new smart detect accessories now and going forward, you probably want an Ascent (or Venturist) model. If all you care about is a good blend, any of the classics/non Ascent models blend wonderfully too. Hope this helps.
Man... this year Prime Day has been bringing the heat... I'm buying too much stuff
5200 is the pick for America's Test Kitchen.

This is mostly because it comes with a taller jar that vortexes better than the shorter wider jars.

The Whole Foods promo where if you buy $10+ worth of groceries prior to prime day, you can $10 promo credit to use during prime day...

think i'm gonna jump on this and get the 5200, thanks for the post.

i wish they sold it with the 48 oz container instead of 64 oz, since the 64 oz is too tall to fit under normal kitchen cabinets when it's on the base.

but, i've read a few reviews of the low-profile 64 oz container that comes with the other models, which say it doesn't work well when you want to make small servings (less than 4 cups or so) because the base is too wide. i'd rather deal with the inconvenience of extra height than lose the ability to make single servings. if it gets too annoying, i can always order the 48 oz container separately later.
This is actually what I did. The 48 oz container went on sale for $90 a few months ago and i was able to snag it. Big fan of the 48 narrow container (but short enough to fit under cabinet).

I'm wondering the same....80$ difference....but 3 year vs 7 year warranty....and Im not seeing anything about the differences in performance.
There's really not a huge difference in terms of end outcome but many people swear by the 5200 due to known durability. From anecdote, my parents have owned the 5200 for >11 years.

Main difference between this one and the 750?
If comparing to 5200, 750 has a longer blade (which requires a slight bump in HP: 2 -> 2.2 HP). I own the 750 and the end products are similar except the 750 is slightly stronger and has slightly less resistance on tougher blends like nut butters. YMMV though.

Newbie to Vitamix but always wanted one. Have Nutribullet pro that struggles sometimes with blending. What is the main difference between the 2 models 5200 vs A330? other than the price
Can smaller cups be purchased for protein shakes for easy dishwasher cleaning like Nutribullet has?
A330 has more bells and whistles that you can find on the website. These are more of a luxury add on so it's not necessary if you don't care about presets and timers. You can purchase the to go vitamix cups. It is however, quite pricey around $100+. Personally, getting the 32 oz or 48 oz container is a better deal than the to go cups (20 oz). @Canadian commented on it as well, not a great experience for the cost.

Good price. I would buy it if Vitamix provided an option of a dry container. I don't know why they don't do it. Maybe they are too greedy.
The dry container has limited use purpose. Probably why they sell that one separate.

Thoughts on Vitamix 5200 versus Blendtec 575? The Blendtec 575 [amazon.com] is also on Prime Day deal for $270.96

Yeah, but the Vitamix sale on the 5200 was the stainless finish, if that's something you care about. Amazon doesn't carry that finish.
thanks for making me feel better lol

Seems like Sams Club has the 5300 with 64oz low profile on sale quite often. It's $299 now. Here are the main differences: https://sprintkitchen.com/vitamix-5200-vs-5300/

I still picked up the 5200 right now as it seems more durable.

Wish they had a deal on the A2300 or A2500 instead of the A3300...I want those nice big physical switches instead of the puny little buttons!

Pulled trigger for a3300. Luckily I canceled my order on vitamix couple of days back. This is way better deal than vitamix offered. Thanks for the post.

Website says this: "Compatibility
The Vitamix Perfect Blend Smart Scale and Recipe App are only compatible with blenders sold in the U.S. DO NOT use the Vitamix App with the Food Processor Attachment", so presumably it will work with any of their blenders?

How does it work out for Amazon? Are they selling the 5200 at a loss ? Or if that's the real cost for them, pity all those who buy it at full retail price..

Upon further thinking, I see what's going on.. There must be a lot of left-over units because of reduced restaurant/home demand. And they are clearing those at cost basis. So, it doesn't mean one can buy the 5200 at this price every year.

Also, in support of those who pay $400 for the 5200(or full price for any other product such as a laptop or a smartphone), such people tend to take good care of the product and use it for longer time than those who buy it for cheap.

Bottom line, as there are billionaires and those who make $1 a day and all kinds of people in-between, there are also people who pay $1200 for a new iphone, those who pay $49 for an iphone 7 on sale and all kinds of people in-between.
you dont know what primeday is?

Pretty tempted. Would definitely pull the trigger if it had the brushed stainless finish on the a3300

Confused on A3300 and 5200.

Does A3300 does not have self cleaning?
