EDIT: Just googled it. I thought I had seen them all: NextPVR, etc etc, but never came across that one. None of them seem to work very well, for my basic needs (scheduling and recording).
Also, does Plex Premium give you the ability to upload to a cloud server? Other than what people have mentioned (DVR, faster streaming speeds), I don't see any option for cloud storage - if say your home server is offline.

If you use it every day, after one year you're looking at about 20 cents a day, and that just keeps going down the longer you use it since it's a lifetime sub. And then remember that this doesn't just magically exist, but that there are people actively responsible for creating / programming / updating it.
To me, it's a no-brainer. I like the service, I use it daily, so I paid for it. Going on three years now, so I'm down to under 7 cents a day. Totally worth it.
