Posted this generate back in August and it appears to be back in stock

https://wenproducts.com/products/...-generator
  • Generate clean power to safely operate sensitive electronics such as phones, tablets, televisions and computers
  • Parallel-ready panel allows you to connect any two WEN inverter generators for increased wattage output
  • 212cc 4-stroke CARB-compliant OHV engine produces 4000 surge watts and 3500 rated watts
  • Lightweight body weighs 30% less than a standard 4000-watt generator
  • Includes two 120V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, two 5V USB ports, one 120V RV-ready TT-30R receptacle, and a two-year warranty
Amazon for comparison and reviews (do not use this link to purchase the generator. Use the link at the top of the description) - https://www.amazon.com/WEN-GN400i...B07XZVLC9H

Mine came with the normal jets installed, and a set of the high altitude and very high altitude jets in individual bags.

I also picked up the magnetic oil [wenproducts.com] dipstick for mine since generators don't usually have oil filters

Slickdeals keeps trying to change the store to Amazon in the listing for some reason. The amazon link is just for review comparison. The price is from the Wen site directly.

I was in the same dilemma. I went with a Refurb Champion 3100 off ebay for about $500. No regrets.

Thanks, but that's too small to power my well pump, plus I watched some YouTube vids and this one is pretty loud. Good deal though. I'm set on the Wen 3800. Come on, sale!

You won't regret going with a quieter model, that's for sure.

I like how they put "Quiet Operation" in big letters but nowhere on the page does it provide an actual decibel rating. Then I googled the model number + db level and wow, at 67dba, this thing is clucking loud. (Keep in mind the decibel scale is like the Richter scale as they are both logarithmic.) Maybe good in an emergency power outage when the whole neighborhood is using them, but you most definitely would not want to take this sucker camping or in an RV with ya. Great way to troll your neighbors.

Got this last time around. Looks sweet in my garage. Wish I had noticed it doesn't have wheels tho - waiting for a slick deal on casters.

Slept on this when it was posted about a month ago and it sold out, thanks for the repost OP. Liked and repped.

When selecting the magnetic oil plug, WEN's website doesn't list the GN400i model as compatible, but based on what others have posted on Home Depot / Amazon the 55201 should be the correct model, which makes sense as many have stated in the previous deal thread that this engine is a Yamaha clone.

Hmm, buy this or wait for the quieter 3800 watt version to be discounted at around $680?
Why is this so much noisier than the 3800 watt version and so much cheaper ?

Thanks.

The 3800 watt unit has an enclosed sound absorbing housing that makes it significantly quieter. And more expensive, with additional features.

This may be a dumb question but I'm a noob when it comes to generators. Can this unit be connected to my house breaker panel via an electrician or does it require a different model. I want to run my house lights, fridge, wifi router, cable modem, laptops, tablets etc... Thanks

I have one brand new in the box from two months ago in westchester county, ny if anyone wants it and doesn't want to wait for it to come. Not looking to make money. Just didn't end up needing it (neighbor gave me his old one that just needed a carb cleaning job).

Is this powerful enough for a kitchen fridge? I only care about keeping the food fresh during an outage.

For sure, I ran 3 freezers on a similarly sized generator once
