you think thats a goos deal from a pircw perspective? the rc stunt car at 9 bucks or the monster truck at 14 seem to be better deals... even if they break after a few months

I like how Macy's inflates the "retail" price so high that it makes you think you're getting a great deal on these "sale" items when they'll all be discounted to under $5 on December 26.

I know right... Why would you buy Halloween candy before Halloween and pay regular price? What about Easter eggs before Easter?

Your point?

Uh, no, if you read my comment, the point is that 99% of this is objectively worth nowhere near $40-$50 like the list price suggests. The "sale" price is more like standard retail price.

I read it, very clearly listed 12/26 as a purchase date to get them for $5.

Analogy stands correct.

Of course MSRP is overinflated, it is on everything!

Their sale price isn't actually a sale price; it's the retail price of the item. If you want a real sale on the items, then wait. To make your analogy stand correct, you should say a $4 street value bag of Halloween candy is listed as being worth $25 and then put on "sale" for $4 leading up to Halloween. It isn't worth $25; it's worth $4. If the retailer said it's worth $4 and puts it on "sale" for $3, like every retailer does with candy, that's a deal.

I haven't bought anything from Macy's since before the pandemic started, so I loved this sale. The prices may get cheaper, but I need to prepare now and it gave me tons of neat ideas.
