I've seen this model for $1250 at Costco before ($250 off) but never $400 off. This is super light and not much bigger than a 15.5" when closed.
The sale STARTS October 28th.

Also to OP, where did you find out about this? Is there a new Costco savings book out?

It just came in and I'm really impressed.
Very little bloatware and the screen is very responsive. LG has really impressed me as a current Dell, Lenovo, Acer, and HP owner.
I've been in IT over 30 years and one issue with the LG Gram chassis may be accessing certain areas for maintenance. It doesn't appear to be as bad as the newer Apple products, but I haven't opened it up. I also don't mind paying slightly more for the Costco warranty.
Time will tell how it holds up. I have a few GoPro projects. Again, I have no plans to use it for gaming. I'll report back if I notice any fatal flaws.
