I've seen this model for $1250 at Costco before ($250 off) but never $400 off. This is super light and not much bigger than a 15.5" when closed.

The sale STARTS October 28th.

I have the previous generation of this laptop and it's been great. I'll likely buy this on 10/28. The only thing I really don't like are the number keys. I'm happy with the 16GB memory but it can be upgraded to 40GB if you really need it. 8GB is soldered in. The other 8GB is removable and upgradable. There are two SSD slots and they both support NVME. I added a second Samsung fast SSD. This laptop is fast, has a great display, and the battery life is outstanding. Unless one is a hard core gamer or you need a touch display there is nothing that comes close to the weight/performance value offered by this machine.
As always with Costco, you get 2 years of warranty coverage plus 90 days to return. If you have an executive account, you earn 2%. With the Costco Visa card, you get an additional 2% plus 2 more years of warranty coverage.
From previous experiences Costco doesn't really do price adjustments that often. They usually have me return/rebuy for the discount. I don't know if that would be the same for the laptop.

Coworker purchased it for $1250 2 months ago, wonder if they'll price adjust? Site says it has to be within 30 days, but I know Costco has great CS.

Are you returning and rebuying the same (potentially used?) item when you do it? Costco still accepts returns on used electronics within 90 days? Dang, but if that's the only route, I'll let them know. If you're returning your old item and repurchasing the same item (new) at the lower cost, that seems like a waste on Costco's end, now they're stuck with a used item, instead of just adjusting the price.

Also to OP, where did you find out about this? Is there a new Costco savings book out?

Correct, only the smaller screens have touch.

Pretty much when you do this (return/rebuy) the warranty counts from original date of purchase so keep that in mind if you keep the SAME item.

Thanks, shouldn't be too much of an issue since it's still relatively new.

I wonder if you could just purchase a new one and return it with the old receipt? This should work if there's no serial number on the receipt
If it's true that Costco is unlikely to price adjust, that seems pretty silly given the 90 day return policy on electronics. Worse case scenario is doing what was stated above and just doing a return and rebuy, instead of doing what you stated, which is a bit more cumbersome.
