Just submitted an exchange. I had horizontal lines in bright backgrounds! Anyone else had that issue?

I would be watching this from about 11 to 12 feet back. Is that ok or too close for optimal viewing? Thank you

Why would anyone ever buy a 48 inch OLED?
Technically it would look better than the larger models considering the higher pixel density.

I don't know if this is what you are describing, but just a week after setting up the TV, I'm watching Netflix and a 3 inch thick blue/gray line showed up close to the middle of the screen. I turned off the TV, turned it back on again, and that same 3-inch space just flickered with a bright white light and it turned off. Now happens each time I turn on the TV. Good thing I'm within 30 days of purchase, so will give Costco a call to see what we do from here.

I got a 77 this week. Can I if you play games on it or just watch tv? Definitely want to know if certain content causes issues. Hope nothing goes wrong with mine.

Haven't tried gaming yet, just 1-2 hours of Netflix per day for last 5 days since we put it up. On one hand, I'm really grateful it happened early on for an exchange but on the other, I really worried about getting another one and have this happen 6 months in....

Thanks for the update. I say get another one. I've used mine for longer this past week. At least 14 hrs of continuous use watching news and Netflix and tv. No issues so far. I'll have to try gaming next.

I received my replacement from Costco and now I'm very happy. Seemed to be an issue with the screen. I only saw those lines on bright scenes on any source........Looks OOS now so happy I pulled the trigger earlier.

This is from the all state insurance

Mechanical and electrical failures plus product defects are covered by the manufacturer's warranty and/or Costco Concierge Services for the first two years. If there is an issue that is not covered by the manufacturer or Costco Concierge Services during the warranty period but is included in your Allstate plan, Allstate will cover it.

Wouldn't a burn in be considered a product defect ??

Not unless it was made that way at the factory.

I've seen people on Reddit with this issue who fixed it with a factory reset. Worth a try if you haven't already gotten a new one. Also, I wouldn't be worried long term. This is why experts say extended warranties are a scam. Most issues arise early on, during the manufacturer's warranty. That said, if it bring you peace of mind, with the Costco Citi Visa, extended warranty, and Costco Concierge, you can get up to 7 years. By then there will be a new technology you want to upgrade to.

Any chance the 55" goes back to 1,350 for a Super Bowl sale or something along those lines?

Of course there is a chance... next batch of TV sales is before Super Bowl.
