There are a few studies on nih.gov that show it doesn't actually make your body expect calories.

Now, my observations...
The flavor makes my mouth water sometimes.
The very cold beverage (I pop mine into the freezer for thirty from the fridge) keeps hunger away
The caffeine helps keep hunger away

What the studies DO show is that IF isn't enough. The first thing you have after your fast needs to be more glycemic index. The reason is that sharp spikes negate some of the positive effects.

I've been very careful about that. 4 years ago I was only 15 lbs heavier (thanks Covid-19) and my A1C was borderline @6.2/120...but I just had my fasting blood sugar done and now I'm golden (73 fasting).

Even gaining the weight back I've changed my body and sugar.

And I drink one of these every two or four days...

Thanks, I just finished my first Punched and it's hands-down the best tasting energy drink I've ever had. Like a mellower, adult version of Hawaiian Punch. None of those weird metallic or "off" flavors I get from most of them.

$1/can for Rockstar is a pretty standard sale price as others have noted, but I'm in for a case. Wish they had S&S...
