Nothing happened when I clicked on that link after logging in - just a little green circle keep spinning. Would I need to enter a new xbox live code first before trying that link? If so I don't have a code to use right now as I'm trying to find a deal on one. Maybe the website was just having an issue though?
I'd try it again later maybe try from a different browser firefox etc

Keep in mind you are trading time for free GPU. I am all about the rewards and almost at 200K waiting for a sale but most of mine are earned through the bing searches/mobile.

Agreed that time is a commodity, but you should be able to do all the daily activates and searches in under 5 minutes.

Meanwhile some people have zero problem waiting in a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts drive thru every morning.

All subjective I guess.
It takes longer than 5 minutes, but for the sake of argument. Say I do enough work in searches etc etc to get "free" each month. At 5 minutes every 30 days I've done 2.5 hours of work. In less than an hour of real work, I make enough to buy a 3 month pass at retail, with change left over. It's a better deal for me to actually spend an extra hour at work every three months and then spend my free time not working for less money than I make at my actual job.

Some accounts require that they verify you before they approve your purchase. On my previous attempt to make a purchase, they required a picture of my card with the exception of the last four digits covered with that days date. I am unsure if they change their requests or if this is typical. Your best chance at getting this resolved is to go ahead and contact them.

You just stack up to 3 years of Xbox Live Gold, do the $1 Game Pass Ultimate trial, and it all converts to GPU.
That's similar to how Office 365 works as well.

Do you know if the limit is 3 1 year codes and then the upgrade... Or is it up to 35 months and then the upgrade?

5 minutes a day X 30 days a month = 2.5 hours of your time each month (150 minutes)

You're "working" for around 4$ an hour....

Don't know about YOU but I bill at a SLIGHTLY higher rate than that....

This is a good deal for existing subscribers who want to extend their GPU for $8 per month versus the usual $15. However, there are better deals for new subscribers to take advantage of. If you're getting an Xbox Series X/S, it's recommended to fill up three years of Xbox Live Gold for $180 market value ($60/year, or you can find cheaper codes on places like cdkeys).

Then, join Game Pass Ultimate and that will all be converted over. You will be paying effectively $5 per month for three years of a service that costs $15 otherwise. And the value of game pass is only increasing, with EA being added and the Bethesda acquisition meaning more games coming on day one. The Bethesda back catalog (including Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Prey, Dishonored, Wolfenstein, etc) will be added to the service on some level once the deal goes through officially. MS has confirmed that. Absent a huge game like Cyberpunk, game pass will be more than enough for most players.
Do I redeem the Xbox live codes first then do the $1 trial? Or do the $1 trial first then redeem the Xbox live codes?

Please tell me im reading this correctly. I have Ultimate that expires in March. I never had EA pass before. If I purchase 3 years of EA pass, it will extend my ultimate by 3 years?

No it's at a conversion rate of three to one. So 3 months of EA Play gets converted to 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

12 months of EA play will be 4 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

That valuation is for a fairly specific scenario. Many people don't particularly like their jobs, so five minutes a day of personal time spent at their leisure might be a better enjoyment:income ratio than shorter time spent at work. Others don't have the flexibility to simply work additional time for no reason or may even be getting less hours than they want/need right now. And some even like the feeling of mini-task achievement or gamification that comes along with the process, so there is utility gained even outside of monetary value.

Personally, I'm salaried, so I don't make any extra money by working more time. Most of us who work at computers for a living can do the searches during business hours without appreciable impact on our duties (maybe even including the console tasks if they work remote), so it's actually a slight net gain in income with no personal time consumed while "stealing" no more time from our employer than most people use getting coffee, chatting with coworkers about non-work topics, or doing personal tasks on their phones.

If you don't like the program or would prefer to simply pay cash, there's nothing wrong with that. But using the old "I make more than that per hour at work" argument is too simplistic for this and most other valuations.

Yes, it's too simplistic. Thanks for telling me that my evaluation of my time is incorrect. Just like the other posts about people wasting their time, the assumption is that I should spend my time the way you think I should. To me, this activity requires daily activity to be effective. I don't use Bing because it's absolute trash still. Therefore it's exactly like work to me. I don't take a brain break at work to do other work, and I don't work for someone else for such a low price when I don't have to.

Thank you, it amazes me how people have no problem paying for XBL / Gamepass for years without end.

Meanwhile im gonna get another 3 months for free doing some Bing searches and playing Doom Eternal.

And 2k a month is at the extreme low end. Make sure you are doing all the punch cards on the points app.
I just looked. One month of Gamepass Ultimate is 12,000 points. How are you earning that many points?
