Put a translucent screen in the window of an over-range microwave that doesn't lose wifi every time you turn it on, then we're talking.

While neat, I think this is one of those things where the engineers, instead of asking whether or not they could, ask whether or not they should.

Have the engineers who design this ever cooked at home once?

I have one. Mine has never lost connection. Maybe it's your network that "loses" it's connection. Oh wait... do you even have one?

I love the GE Hub. I wanted a better vent over my stove. The over the stove microwave fan wasn't very powerful. I couldn't find any decent vent hoods that would fit in the space where my microwave was. Also, there was now a void in my backsplash in the space my microwave occupied. Seeing I was investing in a countertop microwave, anyways, I saw the GE Hub and thought it was perfect for my kitchen.

The GE Hub is awesome. Connects to Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Amazon Prime Videos, etc. Has a camera. You can do Google Duo, has a camera in front and underneath. The vent hood is twice as powerful. The speaker isn't very good, but I have it connected to a really good Bluetooth speaker(s), so movies and music sound great. Speaking of music, I have it connected to my Sonos. Both Google AND Alexa works great. You can look at recipes or cooking shows while cooking or watch movies. It has Google Play Store.

The GE Hub has so many uses! Everyone who comes over just marvel over it and the numerous uses.

The only thing lacking is the microwave. But I believe GE just made a microwave version. Also, this connects to my GE Cafe Refrigerator, microwave and stove.

It's definitely for the techies. Those that bash it, have never used one or seen one. For those that have one and still bash it, probably have zero clue how to use it.

This is a great deal for $698!!
I would buy a microwave version and is probably why this is clearanced

Haha this was my first thought looking at the picture of this.
May not be a bad concept though for countertop microwave though.

I bought this, and literally 2 weeks later GE announced a microwave version of this. But in all honesty, I actually prefer a countertop microwave than over the stove ones. But that's me.

And as for all the "grease" comments... any one of you guys have grease problems on the door with your over the stove microwave? I've never had. And even if there was grease on the door (screen), it's not too difficult wiping it off. It's a matter of physics. Grease doesn't platter out, turn in mid air like the bullet that killed JFK, then splatter on the screen.

I was debating of getting this or the microwave over the stove. Went with the microwave because I didn't want to put a microwave on the counter and I do agree the vent on the microwave is not strong enough. My house vents it out of the house and it still doesn't help. The fire alarm will go off depending on what Im cooking.
