They are not on sale in the Quest store. You have to buy them from the Rift Store. You can then buy them for Free on the Quest store. It's convoluted, but that's how Facebook made it. These are cross buy, meaning that you can play it on the Quest and Quest 2 stand alone or on PC with Quest PC Link

How can you tell if something on sale is a cross buy? I see SuperHot is on sale, too. Can I buy this for my Quest 2?

Yes, but it's cheaper on the rift store right now compared to the quest store. Sometimes it's the other way around. Not every title in the stores are crossbuy, but there's quite a few. You've gotta check both sides of the store to get the good deals.

So if I'm getting the Quest 2 for my teen son for Christmas. Can I buy games now? Or do I need to setup everything first?

I don't work in design but gravity sketch seems pretty cool. Apparently sketches from gravity sketch can be 3d printed with 3d printer. I don't know how often I would use this but $9 is a good deal. Not sure when I will catch $9 sale again. Thinking about grabbing it.

You can buy anything now and it will stay on your account. Once you get the Quest 2 just login with the same account and download all your games.

It works both ways, but in this case the sale is only on the Rift store and not the Quest store. Yes, it's weird and I don't get why this is the case.

You can tell if you see which device it's compatible for. Unfortunately Superhot was not crossbuy when I bought it 2 weeks ago. Maybe it's changed?

Not sure that's true. Superhot is on sale right now in the Rift store and shows Quest compatibility but when I checked various lists, it doesn't show as a cross buy title.

I just looked at it right now. It does not show Quest compatibility in the Rift store. I think I'm right.

How safe is it to buy from the Oculus store these days? I have the OG Rift but am concerned about sinking any more money into them because if I ever want to get another headset THAT'S NOT TIED TO FACEBOOK, I think I'll basically lose my entire library. I remember in the beginning I sent them a bunch of emails requesting that they open up the store to all headsets, some of which they were actively blocking, not just Oculus. "Exclusives" need to die a quick death. I never understood why people support a practice that excludes gamers who have other hardware. <shrug>
