I bought 4 strings of Honeywell lights like these from Sam's Club, have had an open ticket with Honeywell's outsourced warranty department for almost 6 months now. The lights are "back ordered" so they won't ship me replacements. The bulbs collect water and then the light goes out.
Not sure if they've been improved these since I bought them two years ago, but these get water in the bulbs constantly. Fortunately, I had a backup string from which I pull bulbs to replace the flooded ones, but it's super annoying to have to replace 1-2 a month. They somehow get water even if I wrap the base in black tape. I'll eventually run out of backup bulbs too. I will say the warm light is very pleasant.

I have the same problem on 5 bulbs for the lights I got from Costco this summer. However, the lights still work.
Harbor Freight has a pretty good version of these that I can recommend. Pair with the basically always available 20% off coupon for a pretty good option.
I had two strands of the costco 24-ct LED's go out on me. Half the strand died, but in random places, so it wasn't as though one bulb out killed all subsequent bulbs in the line. I recommend costco because I was able to return them with no questions asked. I bought the same ones again, assuming those to be a fluke and knowing costco will take them back should they fail me twice.
Yeah, what a monumental task it would be. Probably harder than most people are capable of these days.
I've broken glass bulbs on my deck before. After a couple minutes of backbreaking work akin to the coal mine days of yesteryear, I had the environmental impact study and rejuvenation work all complete.
Yikes! It was a good detail. I'd rather go with shatterproof. My kids and dogs are enough chaos.
I just hung 2 strings of the Costco Feit strings up last weekend with a wireless switch/dimmer. Like others have said, the Costco version has 24 bulbs each 2' apart, not 15 bulbs like these. Also, my observation was that at full power the single filament Costco version is almost too bright, I like them at 10% (my lowest dimmer setting) or maybe 30-40% if I was having an outside dinner. Will probably never use them on full power. The Costco bulbs are 2200K and the Sams are 2700K color, Costco being warmer color (preferred for vintage look). Costco comes with 2 extra bulbs and I dropped one from 12' and it didn't break.
I'd say go with Costco. Also get a stainless cable hanging kit (Amazon has them) don't hang up just using these LED cord strings.

If 10/28 sale includes shipping, I'd grab a few.

I checked their coupon book and it's in store only.
