Saving everyone from having to do this themselves:

Blinkist, is a book-summarizing subscription service based in Berlin, Germany. It was founded in 2012. It has about seven million users. The service provides summaries of more than 2,500 bestselling non-fiction books, 15-minute reads, otherwise known as blinks or book-in-blinks.
As a subscriber for three years, my wife and I each have an account, I pay $79/yr choosing yearly vs monthly, I can say that I love the service and that I use it in spurts. Big spurts. Sometimes I'll listen to it while running/jogging, or if I'm on a car road trip, at 10-15 minutes each recording it doesn't even have to be a long road trip.

The books are non-fiction because summarizing a story loses the story, 😂, and highlight the main topic of the book as well as highlighting important supporting statements from each chapter.

For me it's just perfect because I'm ADHD diagnosed and rarely ever finish a complete book. Besides, in the non-fiction genre books seldom have more than one point to them. Think about recent nonfiction books you have read. The power of why for example simply goes into keep asking yourself why next chapter ask yourself why next chapter ask yourself why, over and over it's simply getting to the root of the result. A lot of nonfiction books stretch to try to fill the pages because all they're doing is telling you the same thing over and over and over and over however it might be indifferent ways. Many non-fiction gives you a point or a moral to the point and then offers you 20 different stories telling you the same thing but in a slightly different way. I like this format because one it is audio so I don't have to sit down and read I can take it with me using my bonez headphones And I believe I benefit from hearing the multiple ideas they're shared, sometimes 20 or more in a day when I go on a road trip that's 10 to 15 hours long.

I do not have any comparison to other book services Just wanted to share my experience with blinkist. I'm thinking about getting one account and letting all four of my children share the one account with a single login since I know they won't use it as much as me but I would like for them to have the option.

Great info, saves putting a reminder in my phone - I don't suppose you know if this is also the case with Amex's other recent memberships, i.e. Calm and Wonderly?

It is for Wonderly also, but not sure about Calm (I would think so) I get Calm free via work.

I don't feel Blinkist is really adequate. Too much nuance is lost in the summarizing. It's like reading the cliff notes.

Nice, I tried to register and realize I once downloaded the app and registered. Probably uninstalled because of the price lmao.
