Best buy said the deal ends today. Unfortunately I wont see my mother in law until next week, and I dont want them to activate the phone today and leave her stranded.
If I did the following, would it work or are there any hiccups?
-Activate on my line. Once activated, take the sim out of the A51 and put it in my current phone so I can continue to use my phone and just leave the A51 turned off for a week.
-When I see my mother in law, stop by verizon and pick up a replacement sim for her and put it in the A51.
Are there any issues with getting hit with a double activation fee or anything with this approach?

It is now free after $400 off, and I asked in a chat if the current $400 (16.67/mo) off promotion is bill credits, and the BB rep said yes.
Edit- better yet, if I order online and pick up in person. Will the phone have been activated? Or is it waiting for me to go through the full setup?

Lost 12% of charge overnight.
I've tried all the suggestions I could find on the net, but it's still pretty bad 10% last night.
Can't seem to check for latest firmware, pressed the button in settings, nothing happens.
