Sorry guys one more question-

Best buy said the deal ends today. Unfortunately I wont see my mother in law until next week, and I dont want them to activate the phone today and leave her stranded.

If I did the following, would it work or are there any hiccups?

-Activate on my line. Once activated, take the sim out of the A51 and put it in my current phone so I can continue to use my phone and just leave the A51 turned off for a week.

-When I see my mother in law, stop by verizon and pick up a replacement sim for her and put it in the A51.

Are there any issues with getting hit with a double activation fee or anything with this approach?

Unfortunately, I think this deal is over.

It is now free after $400 off, and I asked in a chat if the current $400 (16.67/mo) off promotion is bill credits, and the BB rep said yes.

Thanks. I did confirm as well the promotion is over. The bill credit deal is actually better for me since I don't plan to leave verizon. If I took the above steps, would I lose the monthly bill credits? Bear in mind that the phone would basically be off and not attached to my mother in law's account nor my account for the next week, since ill be using my phone with the new sim. Both lines are on the same account.

Edit- better yet, if I order online and pick up in person. Will the phone have been activated? Or is it waiting for me to go through the full setup?

Update- I tried to do the 0.00/month verizon promo. As I go through the verizon check process, it says it will change to 6.24/month, which is not inline with their promotion. I have one of the higher end unlimited plans, any ideas?

Has to be a new line for $0.00 after bill credits. Upgrade is $6.24 after bill credits.

To give others an update, I don't think this is a bill credit. I upgraded my line, and when I look at my verizon, it says $250 has been paid off and I owe $149.99. It also gives me an option to pay off the device for $149.99

Anyone having excessive battery usage.
Lost 12% of charge overnight.
I've tried all the suggestions I could find on the net, but it's still pretty bad 10% last night.
Can't seem to check for latest firmware, pressed the button in settings, nothing happens.
TIA

Correct, it's 100% not a bill credit. I just bought the phone yesterday (it's still available at the discounted price in Black) and in the "financing agreement" it shows a down payment of $250.00 leaving $149.99 owed consistent with what you saw.
