Xbox One Wireless Controller - Elite Series 2 @ $153.89 with Target Circle 10% discount and Red Card 5% discount

$153.89
+5 Deal Score

Target has the Xbox One Wireless Elite Series 2 Controller in stock at regular price of $179.99, but Circle Members (free to join) can save anAdditional 10% Off Select Electronics or Video Game = $161.99, and then standard RedCard discount can get it down another 5% to $153.89 Shipping is free or select free curbside pickup if stock permits.

The 10% discount says Xbox consoles and accessories are not included, but it looks like the Elite Series 2 Controller slipped past. Pretty good deal if you are looking to upgrade controllers in preparation for the Xbox Series X. Clip the Target Circle 10% off coupon first and it will automatically discount in your cart at checkout. (see image). I missed it in my purchase, but it should stack if you happen to have a Target Circle one time use 5% off storewide purchase on your account. That could take it down even further to $146.19.

GET AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. These get the drift/ghost issue as well. Mine took about 4 months. There is a class action lawsuit on xbox controllers because of the analog stick drift issue.

The rubber grip on the handle also will eventually fall off as well, and if you try to glue it back in, it doesn't fit the same as it's stretched out. Not worth the money IMO. But some like the paddle feature and the quick trigger, but you can buy those as an add-on accessory from different sellers, just check amazon.

They've extended the warranty from 90 days to 1 year now.https://www.engadget.com/microsof...27988.html

Yeah I got one for my son last year off eBay from some BestBuy affiliate and over the summer the bumper buttons are touchy, like they register twice when you press. Will investigate the warranty although I'm sure they will try to say that my seller isn't an Authorized Retailer or some sh⁷t

This is a good price for this controller, ****** If you get the right one.
I sent in my controller 5 times, until i finally got a good one!
Microsoft on the warranty has been spot on at lease!

If you get a bad one. Just register it, and send it in.

yes, i have two gen1s.
no, i didn't pay anywhere near full price and never would. the one i'm currently using already has stick drift, and i don't even play that much anymore.

Yes we can all agree it is ridiculous that such an expensive controller would have issues but imo it's still worth it because there's nothing that compares - once you've tried one you're hooked... my advice is to use a Visa or Mastercard that extends the warranty by a year and that will give you an additional year coverage

Don't know why people would thumbs down this. This is fantastic for people who have a Costco membership AND
1) Used their 1-time 10% off coupon already
OR
2) Don't have a redcard
3) Can't use the redcard

Literally $6 more than this deal so that's excellent news to know! Gave it a thumbs up

If you're willing to put in the effort, there are tons of these controllers that are broken on eBay. Buy one that's in decent condition and get the issue fixed through the new extended warranty. I've gotten a few fixed already, and it's only about a two week turn around.
