So the military discount stacks? I was coming here to ask about this. My veteran father-in-law wants a full security system and I was thinking of getting the 14-piece for him for a Christmas gift, but if his discount can stack, I'll sit down with him and help him buy it and give him the money now.
Yes, the 20% military/teacher/student/etc discount stacks, but it doesn't combine with the 10% Ring Protect subscriber discount. I'd be surprised if these discounted packages sell for less between now and Christmas (assuming you can get the extra 20% off).
Do you know if the contact sensor act as a glass break detector? I have like 5 windows alone on the first floor. Figure hat it would make more sense to just get a glass break detector, I think that's what it's called.
If you have any echo dots in the house, they can be used as glass break sensors with the Ring Alarm.

Where do you get the student discount? Do you get a code from UniDays or something to paste in the promo code box?

If you have Alexa devices, you could double up using Alexa guard, which notifies you if it hears glass breaking. Smoke detectors too.

I see that they are the same price but peephole is smaller in size.
I recently replaced my front door and it has a kinda opaque glass insert, so no peephole.
Looking to add an electronic one. Which one should I get?
Ring peephole actually goes on a peephole to make it smart and is installed inside.
Whereas Video doorbell goes outside.
I think I will go ahead and buy the doorbell.
Thanks for the correction.

If you like changing battery more often, also a yes. The new stuff uses coin battery while the ones uses half AA.
Beyond that I have not heard the system itself perform any better or worst between the 2 generation. Also the sensors works with either.
