Give it up SD, you've burnt enough people here with Wyze.

Drop them like a prom dumpster baby.

Wyze cameras are complete junk, have tons of smart home stuff for years now and they are the only one that ever had issues. Got one on the Prime Day deal last weekend and it bricked on setup, no lie, sent it back and got refunded my money and it has happened to tons of people too. My Blink indoor cameras have been rock solid though.
I got the Wyze camera as well. I haven't tried it yet. I guess I'll see if it's as good as everybody else's. 😂🤷

I have three Wyze cams currently and as they try to develop and implement features, they break other things on the back end.

Most recently they implemented their person detection, and many users are still having issues (see /r/wyze subreddit for plenty of input [reddit.com]).

I'm not expecting a whole lot from these cams, I just want to log in and review events, see a live view (pet cam), and check the front of the house when the Ring doorbell detects motion (ring faces one way, wyze faces the other). I understand these are not security/surveillance cams, but they shouldn't fail to give me a live view.

As of lately, I either can't get the app to work at all, or it only shows 1 of the cams, or events trigger a notification, but fail to show up in the app.

TL;DR - Wyze used to be great, and still can be - when it works. If you're wanting something a little more reliable, go for another brand. Wyze is struggling to keep up with the competition and as such is trying to "rush" features before they are ready and/or tested as they should be.

If you live in a Midwest state that has Menard's you can get another 11% rebate at Home Depot on almost anything until 10/24.

Cameras aren't really that great. Their ptt function is delayed by 2-4 seconds. The camera sometimes crashes if you search too much on the SD card. I had a 256gb card in there. It got corrupted after 2 weeks, and had to reformat. The reformat had to be done manually, including popping it out and putting it in again, otherwise it wouldn't register. Tried swapping it with a microcenter 32gb class 10. Better results, but still crashed every so often.

If you get it, don't expect it to be a long game reliable camera for search whenever like a security cam. The only reliable search function is popping the sd into a computer and searching use file explorer. I mainly use it for near real time detection and ptt.

The wyze plugs are pretty good though. Have no complaint on those besides cross compatibilities with other services

That's a 14% discount. Not bad but it's really not that great either.
...but Wyze charges for S&H. Did you factor that in?

32GB is the max supported. Just because it worked for a while, doesn't mean it's a supported configuration.
I've been a customer for a couple years and the only time I ever had a similar problem with an "ancient" SD card and old firmware. Upgraded both at same time, so don't know which resolved the issue.

Yeah. That much I was aware of. Guess I should elaborate. Official support at 32gb max. I used the 256gb originally because forums of other users have had success with more than 32gb. But even so, the 32gb supported is still riddled with reboot bugs when you're searching through the timeline.

Looks like they don't sell the sensors on their website anymore as a new model is coming out. Not sure what the new model will offer but just an FYI that may be why this is discounted and may drop more.

toys cost less, this should be sold as a toy like arduno or raspberry pi for for kids to play and tinker with.

I already have it, but I didn't set it up yet. Maybe I should just sell it on Facebook marketplace or send it back. I really do like the Blink mini, but I just got that one too because it was such a good price and I got a free plug with it.
