You're better off doing BYOD and getting $100 gift card than doing this deal.

It's great, plus you can't beat unlimited tethering. I have 4 lines use the tethering at my home for TVs and tablets.

You have to put it into context though. They are reviewing it as if it was a $200 phone. For $20 it is a different story. And if you read the reviews they say a lot of good things - multi carrier support, usb-c, 4gb ram etc. The P22 with 4gb ram should be better than say the moto E6 with its snapdragon 435 and 2gb ram.

Visible appears to have also changed how these swaps occur. They used to send the prepaid label with the "new" phone that was used to return your swap. Now it says they email you the prepaid label and upon "trade-in approval" they send out your new phone. So, that is not as clean and easy as it used to be. Couple that with the now required port-in along with the phone offerings appear to be getting worse and I think that these Visible deals have become too much work. With that being said, I'm not really a great customer as I've taken advantage of the swap promos to obtain phones and not stay with their phone service.

EDIT: OK the info in the OP has been changed since I posted this. Now I am unsure about the actual swap procedure... it might indeed be like it has been in the past.

My takeaway from the review is that the phone is unusable, albeit with the battery it is unusable all day long.

Further, I have to pay more than $20 out of pocket to obtain this phone, after trade in. More like $70+ out of pocket -- thought I do get some crappy service thrown in as well.

Yes. Coverage is good, speed not the greatest, especially if you watch videos off wifi.

if you dont hv a junk phone in your drawer then dont do this deal. this deal is good to get rid of your old tracfone. I'm trading in an old Samsung s4.

I'm not seeing the first month for $25 anymore. And SAVE20 also isn't working. It is showing the full $40 price and says that it will be required at checkout. I went all the way through the entire process to the last confirmation page. Yes, I went through giving the porting info as well. Looks like they have changed that offer as well. Can anyone else confirm getting $25 for the first month still?

I can't speak for the phone in this deal, but what I can add is that I've used Visible for 6 months and I've not had any real issues with them. Yes, they aren't the fastest, but with WiFi calling at home (and I've been home a lot, thanks Covid! >.<) they've been great. When I have used my phone around town the service has been solid as well, way better than Sprint from my experience. I also moved my wife, sister, and mom service to them to take advantage of the Party Pay option, and we're all happy with the service. Unlimited everything, plus hotspot, it's a great value at $25/month.

We had issues when signing up. Their credit card billing was flagged by basically everyone as fraudulent so our card got rejected. I have to assume they've corrected this in the past 10 months or so.

I started a "party pay" group so it's only $25/month. You start or join a group with random people (https://www.reddit.com/r/VisiblePartyPay/) and everyone gets their own bill so you don't have to worry if anyone else doesn't pay. It's all anonymous.

Service has been good in the suburbs of southeast Michigan. Good speed and reliability. We don't have congestion/throttling that I've ever noticed. When we go way up north, service gets pretty spotty but I haven't had any service work up there.

Hotspot with an Android phone is limited to 1. Tethering is limited to 1 due to only one usb connection but you can certainly use ICS in Windows to share the connection to a router. There is a difference between hotspot and tether for those that interchange the term. I have done it with 2 accounts for months no issues. iPhones allegedly can hotspot multiple devices. Yes putting the sim into dedicated hotspots can and do work but you risk getting service canceling and banning. With that said, I don't recommend people to do this thinking they can replace home internet. It really isn't a good fit for most people.

What bands on the Visible version?

Website isnt loading for me right now

edit: Okay, I'm staying away reading these reviews. At a minimum I just want a functional phone. They must be using this to clear them out permanently
