On a serious note: Not everyone has the same need as you, that is why it is important to evaluate your needs. The system is not bad, it's just you are bad at understanding the key benefits of the system, and your requirements. For example, would you recommend someone who is renting a house or apartment to install a POE, i hope not. Or did you factor in the camera traffic and the cost for installation of the POE, or that most POE user interface is like 20 years behind . . .

Instead of posting your failure of grasping how the technology is utilized, you should rather post the alternatives at same price point with better benefit.

Apples to apples . . . not apples to oranges, that is what usually helps people when making decisions.

I see a lot of people comparing this to Arlo...but any comparisons to Ring? I just purchased the Ring Wireless Security Alarm Kit, plus Ring Doorbell Pro (precious slick deals). Since I will be sucked into their subscription service, would it make sense to buy these cameras vs sticking to Ring cameras? I love the price point, but do the two brands play well together?

Yes these are way better than blink but it is hard to recommend these when the 2k 2cs exist

I have different Eufy cams, and a few Blink ones, and the Eufy ones have way better image quality, are faster, and the app runs smoother.

The 2C spotlight is so weak that it's not even worth mentioning. The 2C model that has 2k resolution is the 2C Pro. Not This deal. It has the same features as the regular 2C but has 2k resolution. If you need a spotlight and you have good sunshine in that area, I suggest using one of those solar powered LED lights with built in motion sensor and turns on automatically at night. Lots of them in Amazon, like this... $24 after coupon for 4... $6 each! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073VJZGN1/ One of these will be much brighter compared to the 2C's built in lights. These can be setup (if you prefer) to have dim lights always on and full brightness when it detects motion at night time... The 2C's are my least favorite cameras compared to other Eufy cams feature-wise.

I would suggest trying the 2c pros before suggesting that people buy yet another product.

The 2c lights up about 25 feet of my backyard. It is nice having it as one compact unit and looks much better than the giant missile shape in the regular 2 pros.

Clarity speed and motion detection are great. Best of all I don't have to pepper my yard with 4 junky amazon lights. In very heavy traffic (30+ events a day) I am on pace for 180 days battery life.

I would gladly change the battery 1 more time a year to get the better form factor and looks of the camera and a built in spotlight that looks much better than slapping 4 amazon solar motion lights. Those motions from amazon are pure junk from my experience.

Let's just say the batteries last you only 30 days cuz you have lots of foot traffic in the area and you have to recharge every month. That's 500 months. That's over 40 years! Let's say you need to recharge every 2 weeks or Eufy's 500 recharge cycles are cut in half... That's still 20 years.

I think the effects of weathering will most likely break these cameras first before the batteries become unusable. But weathering holds true for all outdoor cameras.

They reduce price daily? Cmon, you're exaggerating much there. They do reduce price over time, but not daily. Same holds true for any tech.

I personally have never had issues with their customer support. My questions answered in reasonable amount of time. I had my doorbell go bad under warranty and I requested for advanced replacement. No issues whatsoever.

Welp, I ordered this. Will return my 5 camera outdoor Blinks after I compare them...Wanted to get these originally but pricing pulled me toward blink...This deal makes it close enough..I will be down 1 cam but according to youtube reviews these will work better and I currently have two blinks in one area because one or the other constantly misses things.. Plus I am still not sure on how the local storage/usage of the app(ability to watch videos on the app) will work in January with Blink.

Does anyone know the range on these units? I'd love to put one in my front yard to watch the street area. Is it simply WiFi range or is it related to the home base. I've got a Deco Mesh system.

How does battery compare vs. blink? You guys really don't mind constantly going up and down a ladder (on 4+ cameras) every month/other month?

Go to Amazon reviews for the 2C or 2C Pro cameras. Under the Question and Answer section, search for the word lumens. The 2C has 12 lux at 1 meter. That's about 3 feet. Most cell phones are 44 lux.

Just to give folks here an idea on how weak the 2C "spotlight" is.

I'm not saying to use 4 of those solar lights to replace 1 Eufy 2C "spotlight". I'm saying if your concern is theft deterrent, then having an always on solar LED light is brighter and having built-in antitheft alarm in the camera is more effective than the 2C's spotlight.
