Newegg has the Legion 5i on sale for $1200.

Specs:
15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, anti-glare with Dolby Vision™, 500 nits, 240Hz
10th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-10750H Processor
16 GB DDR4 2933MHz (2 x 8 GB)
1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD
WiFi 6
Anti-Ghosting 4 Zone RGB keyboard
60Whr battery
(They list up-to 80Whr battery in the description but I don't actually see that listed in the Newegg specs. On Lenovo's site the laptop has a 60Whr so I'm guessing that is what you'll get)

Seems like a good price, especially with that nice screen. Wish it was the 17" (can't get that screen tho on the 17") but this is tempting.

I am agree with you, nice specs but if it was 17", I would jump on it. Anyone know can we get %10 discount on it if we are first time Newegg member?

You should be able to. But that has a max discount of $50. Just an FYI

Wow 500nit screen and 240hz what a treat. Majority in this price point is like 300nits more or less that's nice. Anyone know the RGB/ntsc % ?

I believe the Legion series is touted as a "Gaming Laptop". Those usually don't have the best battery life. I'm still using my Legion Y520 and happy with it all things considered (Primarily the short battery life lol). Plays most games very acceptably at 1080p.

Anyone know if an AMD variant with a 2060 will be around the corner? Looking for moderate gaming, but also productivity and general tasks all at home.

It is considerably more, but take a look at the Thinkpad P1. NVIDIA Quattro T1000 along with 64 gb ddr4 ram. I'd recommend building one though if finances are the issue.

If battery life is a concern, I'd recommend a higher Thinkpad model with decent screen and looking into an e-gpu. Not as portable, of course, but your laptop wouldn't be eating the battery so much. This is, of course, not taking into consideration overall pricing.
