You don't need 60Hz for productivity. I sometimes (like right now) use a 4K Samsung TV hooked up to one of my notebooks and don't have any issue with it even though it's 30Hz. Sure, 60Hz would be nicer but 30Hz still works fine.
Depends on what you do, I was remoting into work and was using a 43" 4K tv and I though there was something wrong with my mouse, the lag/reaction was terrible. I recently purchased the HP z43 monitor and it is amazing. However, I do think part of the issue was the TV only had HDMI but I'm using DP on the Monitor.

I would guess the lag probably had something to do with you remoting into work

I picked up the LG Nano 85 49" for a few dollars more on Amazon. It'll double as my monitor and Series X TV (for 120 Hz at 4K via HDMI 2.1). Would've loved those features in a 43" footprint though...

This monitor supports Picture By Picture that will enable you to simultaneously present 4 computers as 4 separate and independent 1080p screens. Not very useful for home users, but for traders, network/security operation centers or anywhere else you need to watch up to four independent hd definition video sources at the same time i.e 4 monitor in one. You can also do picture in picture but that is not that useful to me
Exactly. I have three or more machines I need to access frequently with one always available. I have done input switching across multiple displays which is less than ideal and currently use TeamViewer to do a pseudo PbP but we do not have all that many licenses to keep them live all day. This or the similar Dell (I think uses the same panel?) along with Mouse without Borders solves most of my issues.

Even for traders they can use mid-high end PC and get multiple screens and use same mouse and keyboard. From trading perspective that's so much easier. Maybe back in the days having multiple devices connected made sense.
There are some systems that are required to be run on dedicated machines for security. Not only that but on opposite sides of the firewall with trading/financial apps on different systems from misc web browsing and email and Facebook. Also, VLAN or physical networks for certain trusted/untrusted security situations.

Dell U4320Q is fairly similar in terms of specs and functionalities, but you do pay a $200 premium for the Dell Ultrasharp line. It's back (for me at least) to $711 with stand4small coupon code, but Dell keeps fluctuating the price so it may go back up the next day.

There was a good deal on another site for the Dell about 6mos ago with Amex statement credit $120? and a Dell GC $130? that brought it down to ~$550. I made a friend purchase and I should have done the same. Refurb is $568 right now with coupon 220214U43 but only 90 day warranty. I don't think I've ever had a warranty issue with a monitor out of several thousand that were not apparent in the first 30 days, but still.

Ugh, I want to get this so bad but now Black Friday is less than a month away. Hopefully something better comes up then.

The backing uses the same mounts as the monitor stand variant of this or the previous generation LG 43. You can find those stands used on ebay for $40.

People used to say that about VGA ports on TVs in the early 2000s....
Vizio's 2020 M Series Quantom has HDMI 2.1 and the 50 inch is $100 cheaper then this monitor. You get 4k, hdr, full array local dimming and 60Hz vrr at a cheaper price. You could buy a pip multiview adapter with the money saved. You would be trading an ips panel for a va panel though.

The sony x800h is $450 right now. It's a somewhat decent tv and a good monitor. It has its quirks as a monitor, but overall I like it.
60hz, IPS panel, not the best HDR, has Dolby vision and has good color accuracy.

Has the two feet at the bottom but I bought a universal stand which makes it look like a monitor.

To clear up some Misconceptions.

This is IPS. The contrast ratio is terrible, blacks are bright grey, games and movies look bloated and flat. An ips panel is essentially MISSING all the dark colors.

You don't want IPS unless you have a very specific reason like photoshop.

Photoshop contrary to popular belief does not require a monitor that Looks Good. It only requires a monitor that Looks Even (wider contrast stability, viewing angle), IPS fits that use case, but visually IPS looks washed out on mid-tones and especially dark tones due to extremely low contrast ratio.

IPS, ~1000: 1 contrast
VA, ~3000: 1 to 7000: 1 contrast
OLED, ~150,000: 1 to 200,000: 1 contrast
LMCL, ~85,000: 1 contrast
