I can't make the math work to where it makes sense to me. Anyone else?

$2.29 each X2 = $4.58 less 32¢ (this is not 20%) = $4.26 X1.07 (tax) = $4.56 - $3 DQ = $1.56

What's up with the 32¢? Why was it not 20%?

Thanks OP. I got in too late last time and the cheapest ones were OOS when I noticed the deal.
Repped.

Looks like it takes off 20% after the $3 coupon:
$2.29 x 2 = $4.58 $4.58 - $3 = $1.58 $1.58 x 0.2 = $0.32 or $1.58 x 0.8 = $1.26

Argh! I should have put them on my HSA/FSA card and my $1.52 would have been pre-tax (untaxed income), duh!

Is tax never charged when using the HSA / FSA card?

I have been using my rewards credit card to get the cashback and then sent receipts for reimbursement. I thought my HSA card included tax at checkout.

You would have paid sales-tax, but you wouldn't have paid income tax, isn't the money on your HSA card pulled from your income BEFORE you pay federal and state income taxes? (that's the whole point of the card, right?)

It wouldn't have been a whole lot of money, but that's part of why I have the card. Not that the extra 40 cents would be a big deal, but if I remembered it for all the little things like this, it'd add up at the end of the year.

I don't know if I can turn things in for reimbursement? (That's how my old account worked)
This one works like a credit card. Regardless, I'm not doing a lot of paper work for 40 cents.
