Based on the pictures in the reviews for each, it looks like the Milwaukee is printed on both sides of the tape, and the Craftsman is only on one side. For me, and what I do for a living, that makes the Milwaukee the clear better choice, assuming the other features are closely comparable. I've never used the Craftsman Pro line of tapes, but I've had the Milwaukees before and they are definitely high quality tape measures. If everything were equal, I would opt for the Craftsman for the made in USA factor, but that double sided tape is just too useful to ignore the difference.

If you need the two-sided feature, then you're right, definitely go with the Milwaukee. IMO, the Craftsman are sturdier and easier to read. It's still a good price if you have to have Milwaukee, I don't buy Milwaukee much because they charge a premium on the brand name.

The Craftsman only has 11' standout, tiny numbers, and printing on one side only. But at least its "Common applications include measuring distance", so there's that. And it's not fully "made in USA", but assembled here from global components.

The Milwaukee has 15' standout, big easy to read numbers on both sides, and is made in Vietnam.

I personally hate these tapes. Will never fuss with one again. If you are a trim carpenter or just doing DIY stuff it might be adequate, but I bought a 2 pack a while back and both are trashed now. One tore up after a few construction site visits, the other in my woodshop after 2 months just marking out rough cuts.

I agree. The multipack ones aren't as good of quality. I have the magnetic regular Milwaukee version and some Stanley fat max tape measures and they are much much better than these. They are also more expensive.
