Fan is a bit loud, which I don't mind. Every 10 minutes it makes a water gurgling sound, which kind of does bother me.

This is an evaporative humidifier, which is a good thing. It uses a filter and the fan blows air over the damp filter to create humidity. The other more common type is ultrasonic, which is quieter but since there's no filter it creates fine white dust that's sent into the air along with the water particles.

This goes for $65 on Amazon with a 4.3 rating out of 5 [amazon.com].
This link is discussing connection of flu and humidifiers. Not if they work or not ......they do work and we use this exact unit (x2) every season. This is a good deal and may buy a pair more. Thank you OP

There's little evidence that humidifiers do anything.

They literally make the air more humid, which is palpable for skin in the winter. I'm not a fan of these little humidifiers because they don't pump out enough moisture but the bigger ones make a big difference in dry skin in winter.

Am I the only one that saw the thread thumbnail at a glance and thought this was a ps5 deal?

Do you have to put distilled water in this one or can i get away with filtered tap water.

Tell that to someone who gets bloody noses from super dry air. This is a lot better than a boiling pot on the stove, thanks OP!

How do you find cleaning it? I think that's my biggest annoyance with humidifiers. I have a Venta and there's a bit of scrubbing involved to clean it out.

We have been using these for the last many years and they do really work! All we have to do is to change the filters every season which are fairly cheap on Amazon.

It's fairly easy all we have to do is to change the filter once a year

Correct me if I'm wrong. I am not convinced that this device has UV or LED light. If so, what kind of UV light does it have? Is it replaceable?
