ordered one , Thanks

I have Mint on my "data" phone that I change over every 3 months and get a new phone number ,
But I will finally change over my "forever" Tmobile number to Mint , which I was going to do on Black Friday anyway ,

OHHH and how do I do a screen print of the deal in case they "forget" the extra 3 months ,

I am on Windows PC

Other than google voice, what's the cheapest carrier to port to then come back to Mint in order to take advantage of this deal?

Sucks that I just got that other 3 month one a few weeks ago. I imagine this one also expires 45 days after purchase?? Too late to return the other one to Best buy. Can't do this one without losing some of the time you purchased on one of them.

You try and try and they still always win Smilie

Nice one OP! For those who really want to work the system, the easiest way is to have a Google Voice number. You can play the field and use any promotions that come along and whatever phone number you get assigned as a new number just point your Google voice number to it. with the Google Voice app on your phone, your caller ID is always the number you prefer. Need more? University of YouTube is open 24/7.
I am notoriously slow on the uptake, so decided to finally try to figure out the GV shuffle. So I have a Google Voice number "A" that I use only on rare occasions, albeit it is linked to my current Mint mobile account number "B". I do not want to lose my "B" number because it is established on all my other Cable TV, work, etc accounts/services/etc. The GV "A" number is not important.

So, in order to "keep" my "B" number but still be able to take advantage of the Mint mobile promotions for "new accounts", I would need to port out my "B" (Mint) number to GV (at the end of my current term). There will be a one-time $20 fee charged by the mobile provider. And, at the same time, I will port my GV "A" number for a $3 fee to Mint mobile as a "new" number, and from that point on that number will be disposable. After each Mint term is up, I would just get a new "A" number while the "B" number (which is my "permanent" number) will live on at GV as the actual GV number.

If I would not be so dependent on my current "B" number at Mint, I could just let it expire (and save $23) and get a different Mint number activated with each promotion and link it to the GV "A" number? .

Here is to hoping there isn't a super awesome BF deal, since no reason to throw out 5 months of service. And would be too late to return this one

I agree, and this is the sort of game that I play. Just one thing to watch out for - some services (like Uber) require your "real" number to be associated with your account, and won't accept a voip (GV) #. Some of these issues result in just minor inconveniences if you're constantly number-hopping; others can lead to potential account lockouts and bigger hassles.

Yes, very easy. I got my account number from online chat support and porting out was seamless

Best buy is offering returns on current purchases until January, in case you can't activate in time. I checked with customer service chat on this item, and they verified it can be returned in January if you don't use it.
It says for purchases after October 13th. I got mine the 14th, and I have until the 29th to return. Makes this very suspicious.

i look to save money all the time but i'm also willing to pay a fair price for a fair service.
don't knock yourself out. Just pay $15 a month. It's a fair price and they deserve it.

The only disadvantage I've seen using Google Voice is latency of phone forwarding service for incoming calls. Other than that, everything has been perfect for the past 3+ years.

Edit: In case you need a real phone number for 2FA, GV cannot be used. I guess it can be a significant disadvantage for some people. However, for me, it is not a big deal.
