I agree, and this is the sort of game that I play. Just one thing to watch out for - some services (like Uber) require your "real" number to be associated with your account, and won't accept a voip (GV) #. Some of these issues result in just minor inconveniences if you're constantly number-hopping; others can lead to potential account lockouts and bigger hassles.
I didn't think about that some places may not accept a GV number. Any other major ones you can think of besides Uber?

Great deal wish I could take advantage, but can't seem to trust Google Voice well enough and want to keep my number
Been with GV now for almost a year, and I don't have any problems with it, except some bank's 2FA. Too bad I can't avail of this deal.... I'm now on Sprint's free plan 😁.

Some of my financial stuff, and I think my Authy account for 2FA, require a real number.

ordered one , Thanks

I have Mint on my "data" phone that I change over every 3 months and get a new phone number ,
But I will finally change over my "forever" Tmobile number to Mint , which I was going to do on Black Friday anyway ,

OHHH and how do I do a screen print of the deal in case they "forget" the extra 3 months ,

I am on Windows PC
I use "Webpage Screenshot" , a free Chrome browser extension.

Agreed, I grabbed a couple of those Red Pocket Target cards for $15 each for 3 months. Total of six months for $30 with 5 gigs a month was sweet.

Is it easy to port out from mint?
or are you imprisoned?
Activate it then call them to get your account number and PIN.
If you wait til your last month to port out, they'll transfer u endlessly so you can stay with them.
Do it as soon as you activate your line, they won't say a thing.

This seems really great if you can combine it with the Amex offer at Mint somehow.

Decent deal. 8gb at ~$8 a month after taxes. For frugal folks, currently only Lyca Mobile's 5gb ~$36 for 4 month plan comes close.

I wasn't too thrilled with mint mobile's network. Over 3 months of usage I had 2-3 unreachable calls (when people call you and it doesn't even show up on your phone). And a few dropped calls at home (even one which was to 911 lol). While driving, occasionally some areas had no 4G so GPS was iffy but that can be circumvented by downloading offline google map portions. So I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Wasn't a dealbreaking experience

I had GV for about 10 years. Not an issue. I call overseas with it (using Google Pay) to save on international calls. And that was a big savings years and years ago before the prices came down for international calls. Also, while overseas, you can still make and receive calls if you have internet using GV, as if you are in the US.

The $45 off $90 Amex offer is only for purchases thru the Mint Mobile website.
