As others have said, those handles and quality of steel are pretty bad. Don't expect them to last for tougher applications. There is no current coupon for them, but there's usually been an item specific coupon to get that set for $4.99, so you might want to wait for another coupon to come out. Coupon history here: https://www.hfqpdb.com/best_coupo...D+HOOK+SET

Besides the aforementioned use to remove gaskets, o-rings, etc., I often use picks like these to clean up crud/sealant/paint around bolt heads so a wrench or socket can seat properly and to clean out star/allen head bolts before trying to get a driver in them.

They're also useful for picking out any leftover metal shards after drilling, tapping, or thread chasing.
The Husky set has the ludicrous list price of $30.... I have the three cheaper sets on your HF link page that have come in handy from time to time; all adding up to less than $10 before coupons. None of the cotter key pullers are shaped correctly, whereas we have used the Wilde and Craftsman models for decades.
Don't forget if you have a Menards in your area HD will match the 11% rebate. Takes about 30 seconds to fill out and they ship you a rebate card after 30 days. Much smoother and easier than Menards process for doing their rebate. Only works for in store purchases as far as I've been able to do. Doesn't work with ship to home, ship to store, or even ordering online for in store pick up.

How does it compare to HarborFreight set?
$10 Everyday price - 20% off coupon = $8

I was going to buy these but it says no ship to home option. Any trick to getting them shipped?

I have those, the handles are absolute trash compared to the Husky. Of course, it's a pick and hook set, either will get the job done, but if it ain't Taiwan made Pittsburgh Pro, which I love and keep in the tool cart, most other Harbor Freight tools end up in emergency car toolkits, or used at the scrapyard without much care.

What do you use these for? They look like dentist tools.

I don't get the use of these? I saw some references to like replacing the gaskets on the hose, but my first thought is leaving them next to my bed to kill an intruder.. I mean outside of a gun? I guess the other option is pulling a cotter pin, but that's not really something I need a tool to do?
I am thinking some misread the..... "4" Hose Pick Puller" as a 4" Nose Pick Puller.

Every once in awhile you need something like this and why I have a drawer full of various types; many that resemble, or are dentist tools that I have also bought as military surplus.

there are a lot better things to leave next to your bed for an intruder

Killing zombies, removing brains before making mummies... you know, usual household things.
