None of these blades are carbide tipped, so they probably won't last for an extreme amount of time, but a pretty good deal on decent blades with a Packout case.
May be a stupid question but what exactly is the pack out case? What's so special about it?
I just bought a home and look in all of these tool things, I had no clue and was gonna ask myself, I hate not know what some of this stuff is and if I would ever need it
Apples and oranges. The Packout kit has fewer pieces than even the 10 piece Hole Dozer set let alone the 13 piece. It isn't $10 more, it is an inferior set, and most of the value has to go into the Packout case.
You're getting half a Hole Dozer set, half a saw blade set, and a Packout case. Is it a good deal? I have no idea, but I'd prefer a fuller Hole Dozer set, because you just know that the hole size you need will be missing with this.

I'm never buying another bi-metal hole saw now that I've discovered the cheap carbide-tipped saws from China. So much better!
I feel the same way about carbide tipped sawzall blades. They last practically forever and stay razor sharp even through nails and more.
If the packout has value to a buyer, this is a good deal. Otherwise it's a pretty awful deal all things considered. I got the 21 piece kit with molded case (not packout) a few months ago for 70 or 80 bucks which goes up to huge 5" hole saws.
I recently started hydroponic gardening & am wondering what tools I'd need to drill 2"-3" holes in plastic totes covers. I currently own no power tools & my only goal is to drill holes for inserting hydroponic plants.
Would this kit suffice or would I need additional tools?
For those who want to install a deadbolt or knob on a door new, or widen an older hole, most modern holes will be 2 1/8", which isn't included in this kit. My existing hole saw set also skips 2 1/8". Ended up buying a template to re-cut the hole that came with the right size hole saw as it was cheaper than buying a name brand 2 1/8" and using plywood to cut the hole correctly. The performance of the off-brand hole saw going through the external metal of the door was miserable enough to make me wish I had purchased something better, so will pull the trigger on a hole dozer set that covers my bases. Biggest disappointment would be if the name brand product performs the same, at which point I'm paying more but not getting more performance.
This one is unavailable online and is very limited in stores.
It was available for shipping at the time I posted.
Also - that is the black friday price for that item, so if interested and you can wait watch for it then. I have to imagine they will get more stock in.
I would agree the main value in this is likely from the pack out case included. I got the 21 piece hole saw kit (much better size coverage) for $69 a while back and am still considering this just for the custom case.
Link is dead for me. I ordered it yesterday, tried to do in store pickup which said they had 8 but wouldn't give me the option so i chose shipping. Now my order says "Processing" but the item is not available. We'll see what happens!

50 bucks for the actual hole saws is a ripoff.
