No webcam and soldered RAM are big deal breakers for a lot of people.

Open Box for $709 (geek squad certified) was available most of the afternoon. Looks like they sold out. I'm gonna hold out for a Fair quality one and see if one becomes available

How was this popular. Only 8 gigs of ram and a 1650.... seems kind of weak on specs. Would wait for black Friday deals.
For the price you aren't wrong.

There's no reason you to pay $700+ for anything with only 8gb ram and the Nvidia 1650,

The only very good thing here is the Ryzen 7, the rest is 1+yr old specs and even the Asus Nitro's are noticeably faster and better performing and cost $549-700 quite often, youtube videos provide all the details you need.

Not the same premium build quality and portability category.

Usually with any laptop you lower the CPU to 5% max and force to integrated GPU when running on battery and your battery life increases dramatically.
okay but how do people do that

I did some research and saw it has the best cooling system in the 14 inch laptops. Also for regular tasks like web browsing, watching youtube/nextflix the battery time is comparable to other ultra book.

You guys are delusional. As someone said 8 gigs is already soldered. Also, the 1650 will become obsolete sooner rather than later.
It has another slot you can put more ram there

Right click the battery icon, go to power options, select advanced, go through the list.
