IDK why people keep poo-pooing Hubs. IMO the pros far outweigh the cons re: Hubs and Bridges (keeps devices neatly organized off the local network + other benefits) and the Hue app is incredibly robust and compatible with loads of third-party and independent developer apps.

I used to be against the Hue ecosystem, but if you can find them on sales or specials they are incredibly well-made and definitely exemplify a "get-what-you-pay-for" scenario. The development of the App surely isn't cheap when it comes to getting the Eng support that they have.

As with most products: let your budget and needs decide, but if you're going to be running multiple devices (bulbs, strips, custom lighting) Hue is still one of the best.
What are the best uses for these? Around a TV? I have Hue color lights throughout my house and I'd love to get these with the deal, just can't think of a use.
I have both Govee and Philips. Govee is the better value by far, it's not really close. The only thing the Phillips had over the Govee is better tape backing. The only thing I can't comment on is longevity of the Govee vs Philips Hue as I've only had the Govee for months.

This is a great deal. Was able to snag one the last time around for the same price. Didn't last long.

Yea, but you'll pay double the cost for the same length. Bluetooth version is also a tad bit brighter but you can compensate by using more of these.

I have them around my TVs, behind my entertainment centers, around bed, under kitchen cabinets - looks incredible

What's the difference with the Bluetooth version aside from color? I can use this with Hue hub and Alexa? (Also have smartthings if needed)

I am sure these are good and all, but you absolutely can't beat the value of the Govee RGBIC Dreamcolor strips ($27). I have two of them and they are awesome with the loaded features they have. It has Bluetooth also (pay a little for a different set with wifi).
Since you have no experience with the Philips Hue Lightstrips, how are you qualified to rate their value against any other product?
