Yeah. Considered a switchblade.
All these restrictions are idiotic. Anyone who wants to use prohibited items for illegal purposes knows how to obtain them anyway.
What is really funny: the webpage says that there are 86 of these available for pickup at the nearest HD store, which is well in NY state and in the same county I live. I guess it is a dangerous weapon only if shipped, not if you buy it at the store. Only politicians can do dumb things like that.

Well, I want them...but NY won't ship them to my home nor will HD ship to store nor are the in-stock, in-store.
Ah well...NY has some really 'special' rules.
I can't wait until your governor is our new Attorney General. What a fine man that Cuomo is. A truly great leader.
Bought 2pack of these on sale just to have as backups - but they have quickly become my favorite, weighted perfectly and opens easily/safely with 1 hand
Didn't need it but got one too. Las Vegas HDs didn't have free shipping so it's going to be a pickup. I have one foldable like these by Kobalt and I really like it. Cant go wrong with Milwaukee

🤮
As for the deal, I like Milwaukee tool but I prefer the traditional sliding blade knife. I had one of these folding types of utility knives before and the closure latch broke, it somehow opened and I managed to slice up my hand bad when I went to get it out of my pocket. Freak accident but I avoid them now. Oh well
Dude, shut up. Everyone knows that Harbor Freight exists. Everyone knows that there's some useful stuff there. If you're only going to use a box-cutter once in a blue moon, then sure buy the $2 harbor freight ones and don't think about it. I buy plenty of random shit at Harbor Freight.
However this is one of those items that most people use constantly day in and day out. Hell I'm not even a contractor but with the amount of boxes and other shit I'm cutting open and breaking down now that everything is getting shipped I would gladly pay the equivalent of a few chicken sandwiches to buy something that feels much nicer to use. People are using these things for 5 years, that's $3 ANNUALLY. If you're willing to make your life harder for $0.25 a month over a damn box cutter I don't know what to say.
Thank you! I have one of the old Stanley types and it's ... fine (especially since it was free) but at work I was given a Fastback to use and holy cow is it night and day better! Some things really can be improved on.
This is an updated design from last year. The new larger knife has blade storage compartment that last year's design did not have. Saw this at Home Depot yesterday and purchased a set for the blade storage alone. Definitely my favorite EDC utility knife set.
This is in a BF bin. Think they'll get any cheaper, or sell out first? Does Home Depot process the lifetime guarantee if they break? I had a clip break on mine, and the paperclip I replaced it with sucks. Se@rs was nice because they would always replace your knife in-store, unlike Le@therman you have to ship back and wait a couple weeks after creating an RMA. Lucky me, I got to do that for my friend because he can't do any paperwork. 😖

I even lube it from time to time to get that smooth opening. Makes me feel like a badass when I flick it open. Then I look around and realize I'm not.
