I believe so. Was tempted to get it, but seems like lots of people are saying to wait til Wifi 6E comes out. Even if not needing Wifi 6E, these older wifi 6 routers should go down in price.

WiFi 6E was just agreed upon this year. Probably at least 1-2 years before enough devices use this channel to make the move "necessary." For the next 2 years, this is probably more router than 99.99% of people will use. WiFi 6E isn't just about speed. It's also about congestion that 6 probably won't see because there aren't enough devices to cause congestion. I have this router. It's great and has more than enough bandwidth for even very demanding users.

Oh I agree. The 6e version of this is coming in December 2020 according to asus, so there is a good chance that this will go down in price. Unless someone needs a router now, I would wait and see what the other has to offer and how much the price will change.

Have had a full arlo system around my home for years. Works great and user friendly. What makes it crap and what is a better wireless system with doorbell combo? Asking for a friend

This is a 8-steam router (8x600 + 8x600 + 4x300 = 11000). No wifi adapter can use that many streams.

I absolutely love my AX11000. Many people say it's a waste of money but to each there own. In a house of +70 connected devices it's phenomenal.

I have arlo and it isnt crap. The software has been a bit dissapointing the last few updates, but the HW works for what it is.

Bought the 88U and can say wifi 6 to the phones and tablets is fast. This is similar, but more channels than the 88U. If you arent hooked on RGB and dont need the dedicated back channel get the cheaper RT-ax88U. Also Merlin firmware doesnt officially support the GT.

Same here! It's quite a bunch of money, but I have not had a single reason for regret. No more bottlenecks anywhere in a large house, made an entire eero system obsolete.

This router is super powerful and all, but it has quite a few bugs in terms of stability. The upside is that custom firmware is being developed (search Asus 386 Firmware to find it) with more functions and better reliability. I upgraded to use AiMesh and it's decent, but I still get occasional lockups that I didn't get on a Nighthawk router before. Hopefully it'll mature as more firmware releases come out.

I'm seeing similar stability issues, especially when I turn AI Mesh on. Any fix?
