I know the Hulu thing is tied to the serial number, so that should be straight forward.
My local Costco ran out of this TV.

The checkout cashiers made an error on the check out of the TV, they were confused why it would let her checkout and asked her manager for an override, and he gladly did it without adding the Allstate warranty. I had to go back to the store for the manager to add it in couple of days. Checkout cashiers need more training.
Any calibration settings that people prefer?
Anyone order online and see a delivery date? Ordered mine on 11/27 and yet to see a delivery date. Thanks in advance!

I'm a big sony fan but the price and with the lacking features I would wait a new model. But the Sony Acoustic Surface Audio+ on the A9G is pretty sweet. But not sweet enough deal to make the switch at this time.

Please understand that it will be hard to find anyone to share their calibration settings because it is a dis-service to you guys. Let me explain..
Unfortunately not all TV's of the same model are created equal. I can't "share" my calibration settings because it can potentially make your settings worse. Every TV calibration settings will be different from the manufacturing and will vary depending on the amount of useage. As a former calibrator we pride ourselves on the best picture quality for everyone. But knowing that not all settings fit all we cant make give away the information because it is simply not consistent. Otherwise what's the point of having calibrators coming out to the home when they can do it over the phone?
A pro calibrator that has all the gear can calibrate the tv at anytime. Ideally right away, then again after 1 month, 2-3 months, 6 months, and every year and/or even after every TV update.
For the standard user when I was a calibrator we would recommend a minimum of 200 hours of usage on the TV which can be about 1.5-3 months after purchase because the TV settings like the brightness and color can change.
I had my TV for about a month now and it's still in it's "break-in period"
The Disney World of Wonder (WOW) bluray disc is a good purchase (and affordable option) for simple DYI calibration. It is going for 25 bucks at wally world and is easy to use if you would like more control. But the TV itself already has it's pre-built ISF calibration that I used to be certified in. Looks great, i just fine tuned it to my preferences.
But all in all the standard mode and the ISF bright/dark room modes are already there and look great as is out of the box.
Here is the link to the rtings.com universal calibration settings. Notice you won't find the brightness, color, hue, contrast, sharpness settings because it will vary by TV.
But the guide does a good job of that letting you know what to have enabled and disabled so you can have a more accurate picture (and the reason why). There are so many artificial auto settings that can make the picture look unnatural.

Also to add the screen saver on this TV triggers so often when I have it paused or in idle that i'm not worried about burn-in at all. I forgot and left it on for hours when working from home or being distracted that i'm glad it's there automatically and protects the TV from myself
Hope this helps.
