For y'all who checked on Newegg. Amazon actually has the 1tb Sabrent Gen4 ssd for 150 bucks. Also the heatsink version is $165 which I believe is $10 cheaper. Also, the. 1tb version can be combed with sabrent enclosure which the enclosure will be halved of its price.

For those wondering, it won't work with PS5 due to slower speeds:

Based on Toshiba's BiCS4 96L TLC NAND Flash memory, its performance speeds can reach up to 5000 MB/s (read) and 4400 MB/s (write) when using a PCIe Gen4 motherboard.
That was PCIE Gen 3. This Gen 4 which is significantly faster for read & write if you have a compatible MOBO.

Gen 4 has no effect for 98% of users at this point. Other than the PS5, game load times don't improve with Gen 4. It's only worth paying the extra ~25% if you often transfer very large files or feel the need to be on the cutting edge.

No it was gen4. This price is still a bit high. Gen3 intel 660p 1TB was $67 last year. They are definitely fishing for suckers.
1TB NVMe for $67 last year? You must be mistaken. Link please

The one on NewEgg for $128 was for the QLC Gen4 version. This is the TLC Gen4 version. QLC is slower and less durable than TLC. Hence, TLC is more expensive.

2tb is also $299 but may be OOS by now

FWIW this drive has 3x the TBW warranty of the 980 pro even though its cache speeds are a bit slower. 1800TBW for 1tb rocket vs. 600 for 1tb 980 pro, 3600TBW for 2tb rocket vs. ??? (presumably 1200) TBW for 2tb 980 pro
