2 years for $89 has been the price for quite a while now, including NordLynx.

So not knowing what the 'extra plan' is doesn't really make this a 'hot deal'.

If anyone wants to sign up, check the cash back sites first.
Its a chance to win extra month/years.

Buy

Get NordVPN's 2-year plan, which comes with 68% off.

Unwrap

Depending on luck, you'll be gifted a 1-month, 1-year, or 2-year plan on top of the one you've bought.

I always have a feeling that these VPN companies are actually collecting my data instead of keeping my privacy info secured....

Garbage service. ExpressVPN all the way. And they don't have data breaches and then cover them up like Nord does.

NordVPN lost all credibility [krebsonsecurity.com] after they bungled their hack. And this "sale" has been their normal price for as long as I can remember. All those paid promotions you see of people hawking this with their "special link" is just this normal price.

I'd recommend Mullvad or ProtonVPN if you are serious about getting a VPN. Sure it costs more, but those two services are exponentially better than Nord.

There are independent auditors that check these companies and NordVPN is one of the most secure in the world when it comes to your data. I use this site thatoneprivacysite dot net to compare the different vpn services out there.

Hopefully someone chimes in on something. I mentioned this quite sometime ago on one of the VPN post and just got crickets. I guess no news is good news, right?

Do not trust Nord VPN. One of its data centers in Finland had been hacked and accessed without authorization. They also revealed that the hack took place way back in 2018, it took them one year to notify their customers about it. This is a complete failure on their side and big no to use their service.

Go with vpn that proved no logs policy in real life then. Reputable vpn's allow anonymous payment options as well.

Man, I remember the days when users used to post a link when they made an accusation about a company. You also were confident that the link supported his point. Those were the days!

IMO you make it sound much worse than what actually happened. It was a single server, not an entire datacenter, no user data was accessed, and Nord took so long because the datacenter management company failed to disclose the breach themselves. Also, I think NordVPN learned a valuable lesson from this, now they have much more control over their servers, do 3rd party audits and are quickly moving to a colocation server model. I think it's a decent product and this cyber deal special is pretty fun, they did something similar for their birthday deal, that's when I bought it.

Indeed ExpressVPN is on top of all. But I am facing an issue nowadays. Whenever I connect to UK server it shows me the USA location and definitely the shown results of that query will also according to the USA.

I use UK servers all the time to watch Channel 4 and BBC apps that any other VPN could not handle. Neither could the others (including Nord) let me watch Canadian TV apps. Express is the only one that can as far as I know.
