310 Power Supply? Hmm, I don't know about that. I am not a techie person but 310 seems low to me. Can these builds be upgraded later down the line? Memory etc?

Most of these builds PSUs can't be upgraded, but you can upgrade the gpus low power cards, just not really worth it. Great CPU, bad PSU for upgrades, good for office work. Really 8gb ram is short, for office work i would have preferred the i5 or ryzen 5 model with 12-16gb ram. Chrome alone takes a lot of ram when multi tasking, don't need 8 cores for remember outlook, document office jobs. But, ram you do need for any type of office work if you are multi tasking.

I have an older version of this tower however also with the 310w gold PSU (at least mine is gold)... added another 8gb RAM and added a GTX 1650 without 6pin power req and put in my own 500gb NVMe... makes for a decent gaming machine on a budget! PSU has held up fine so far.

Not sure how the rx550 compares off hand, but it may be adequate already.

EDIT:

This seems worth the $100 extra if you're looking to game:

That 1660 ti will blow anything out of the water that you can get to run in this HP. Also already has the extra 8gb of ram and a spare 1tb HDD. No brainer if gaming is your goal!

While it was not labeled as "LP", it does not have a 6pin power req and only gets power from the PCIe slot. Updated my post, thanks!

Besides it being a lenovo that's a better overall system for sure. The amount of money you'd spend on this one to get it even near the total performance and specs would be well over $100 and that 550 is severely gimped compared to the 1660ti

I'm using a 1650 purchased off newegg on this PC. No issues whatsoever.

as long as someone makes the proper adapter it should work. I've used adapters to upgrade dell optixplex PSUs before. I cant think of any special feature that the factory PSU would provide that another, better one, couldnt. The only issue is it might not fit in the same spot inside the case

I took advantage of it when it was priced at $550. Also I ordered through AAFES which they price adjusted to $550 tax free. The only upgrade I did was I installed 32gb Memory purchased via Amazon and put an old HDD in it. From previous conversation I had through HP Community, Power Supply can be upgraded but it's specific to HP power supply. Meaning you will have to contact HP. The other owner updated it to 32gb memory and swapped his to 1660ti without changing the power supply, he had not problems with it.I was thinking of installing a 2060 depending on when the prices drop. Gaming with Legion 15in Laptop with 2060 so don't really need it right now.

I don't blame you, but something about the case is interesting with power, ports, etc. Tried to buy one elsewhere, but no luck. Any ideas?
Trying to scale down. Mine is a beast.
