Yes, you will have to disable the Verizon's internal wireless so that you don't interfere with 2 competing signals.
Connect your Verizon's LAN port to this router and you will start using the Netgear's wifi.
This router will have a longer reach, assuming it is not shielded from metal or brick or dense building materials.

I didnt know what everyone was crying about with NETGEAR routers.

UNTIL i bought this router..

BUT THERE IS A FIX TO THAT.

I finally got mine to work. It will constantly fail to see the router when you first get it. You can try what I did.

I used the web url provided if you do not have access to a phone app. It was still glitchy, but eventually it worked.

Now my router is working great, with no issues thus far. After the firmware update, the app seems to work flawlessly as well.

my only concern was getting the router working at first, after that no fuss.

130 bucks is the price range for much less advanced routers, so I am very willing to put up with a little more time getting it to work. Which paid off great.

Theres always the costco return policy if it shoots the crapper. No need to return it though, working great and my speeds are the maximum that im paying for.

Would recommend for this price!
I had the worst ever experience setting up this router, Had to do a wired connection set up and couple reboots. After initial mess of trying to log in everything works perfectly.

Man, the R6700 was such a piece of garbage. Recent firmware updates gimped the speeds hard, which did not vibe with my new fiber connection. I really wanna get in on this deal, but I'm having a hard time trusting them after such a garbage experience.
It's COSTCO. you can buy it and if it does not work for you just return it.

This is a router not a modem. So yes it should be able to be connected to your Verizon FiOs

I ordered one last night and got my shipping notice today. It now has an expected arrival date of Dec 1 instead of Dec 15. Now I need to hurry and buy a new modem so I can return my rented gateway back to comcast.
If you check the tracking number, your order is mostly not shipped yet even today! Not sure why Costco is so slow to ship orders!!

Can it be used with Verizon Fios?
Just make sure your ONT is set to work with Ethernet and you can connect direct to the router from the ONT.

I bought this router and using it from more than 7 days.
This router range is very bad. My old router(Archer C7) had better range.
I am planning to return this router

Are any XFINITY people using this? If so, how are they doing it? What's your DOCSIS modem? Sad that there were no combo deals this time.

Any guidance on whether this router would be better (for an additional $30) than the TP-Link AX1800 on sale at Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wi...193&sr=8-3

Thanks in advance!
