My Asus rt68 router is i think 6 years old now. I have xfinity 600 internet in my 2400 sq ft single story home. Will this improve range, and speed significantly?
Wondering if this would work with Spectrum, my Spectrum is so slow and crashed all the time during school Zoom or does anyone have any recommedation on a good router to use TIA
You may need a new modem as well. My in laws internet was slow (they were using a router/modem combo) I got them the cm500 and gave them my r7000 netgear router and they are getting the speeds they're paying for finally

Yes it should. The new tech (WiFi 6 or "ax") is has a stronger signal. This router also is ax5200, the range should be more than enough for a 2400 sq ft home
You're getting a very stable WiFi and range is ok. But what about speed? You're effectively on say 30mbps Comcast plan, as that's what your router may be spitting out.
I get around 105 to 120mb on thr 100mb plan. So above what Comcast says... I get 100 the 2 top floors and 90 downstairs. Very pleased. But i regularly use the attached usb to store things and access with other computers..
That is slow because router is only usb 2.0. Hense the reason for me to try to upgrade.
No one ever ever said at home that internet was slow or lagging. Really top experience. Evern if everything is on and actively being used.. Speed test still goes to 100mb

This is not going to make your internet faster if your ISP is slow.
Anyone know if this supports band steering so that all bands are under a single SSID? I haven't been able to find any info on this. Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a wifi6 router on sale for Black Friday with strong range and band steering?

Would this router be feasible with ATT Fiber 1 GIg?I have a nighthawk x4s R7800 and it's pretty crappy... I had to downgrade the firmware just to have my devices connected... but still disconnects and makes my ISP very laggy...
AVOID Netgear like the plague!!! I have the Nighthawk R8000 and it's TERRIBLE! I had to pay $300 for it when our other router bit the dust on a weekend. It was the best I could find locally. Constant reboots! Plus their firmware "fixes" do nothing to FIX anything!

I have the same router as you. I think I will wait until I see a newer Asus AX go on sale for Black Friday. I hear iffy reviews of Netgear and their firmware updates.

It looks like a RAX40 variant. Reviews are not that good so I didn't bite.

That said, the RAX45 router is absolutely trash.
